My basement has a history, from long before I moved in. Then a flood wrecked the basement bathroom ceiling. I had delayed getting it all plastered and painted because I feared it would take too long and cost too much. What a mistake! The guys were clean, efficient, and affordable - also meticulous. You'd think they were going to live there themselves! And I love the new "living space" look.

The technician not only fixed the problem but helped me understand my system better. I've never had air conditioning before and had several misconceptions about it. I got the appointment quickly as well.

The former owner of my house was a lady of excellent taste but her colour sense just did not work with my furniture. Finally, I saved enough money to get the interior of the house painted, and I am so pleased I chose Strokes of Genius. Connor and Emma were so professional. They came on time, did what they said they were going to do when they said they would, and were understanding about the fact that I work at home and minimized the disruption. I was warned that Strokes might be a bit more expensive than "that guy who paints" but it was worth every penny, believe me. I am looking forward to hanging my pictures now.

We have used Hi-Lite Electric in the past and we called them back to install an electrical stove recepticle and remove a florescent fixture and reinstall a dining room chandalier. We appreciate their promptness, and also the fact that they helped us with minor unscheduled repairs. We would highly recommend them and use them again in the future!
