We have hired Dan twice now to do home inspections for us and twice have we been impressed and delighted by his thorough and meticulous inspection as well as his patient and kind demeanour when helping us understand what he is observing and noting as he is going about the inspection. What we appreciate most about working with Dan is that he is honest and professional in additional to being a teacher at heart when it comes to explaining the issues that come up during the inspection. We found that working with Dan was a wise investment in considering all the comes with our biggest purchase, that being our home of course. Lastly, we are thankful for Dan's accessibility following the home inspection in that he is open and willing to take calls and maintains his helpful disposition. As for the reports that Dan provides, they just as thorough, detailed, and educational as Dan is, and a great resource when needing to review what is needed to adequately take care of a home. We wholehearted would commend and recommend Dan to anyone in the market looking for a home inspector!

Dan was very kind mannered, respectful, professional, and responsive. My wife and I asked him a lot of questions and he patiently and attentively answered our questions. Following the inspection, Dan provided us with a thorough and lengthy PDF report documenting all the things we should be aware of in order to properly and diligently care for our new home. I appreciated having Alex come out on the day I called Rooter Man to inquire about their services and prices. Alex was professional and personable on the phone and in person. He was respectful while working in my home and helpful in answering my questions. I would definitely recommend hiring them to get your kitchen drain unclogged, checked, and running again.

Just wanted to take two seconds to commend and recommend Brian. Of the four contractors who quoted us, Brian was the only one to notice and mention the mold growing on the wood of our exterior. Brian was also the only contractor to climb up a ladder and take a closer look at our balcony from the exterior when quoting me, which stood out to me for his initiative. As for his work, Brian was punctual, effective, and efficient. He did a great job and completed the project in two days. He was also respectful and pleasant to work with.

Just wanted to take a moment and provide my review of this company, and my experience of working with Mike, the owner, in the hopes of helping other consumers make an informed decision and continue to gain value from using HomeStars in their decision-making process. Working with Mike was, unfortunately for us, a negative experience. To my Mike's credit, he was punctual and the shutters he sold us were good enough (only time will tell if they are as good as Mike says). However, I found Mike to be a bit unprofessional as he showed up unprepared having forgotten his paperwork (for which shutters went where), requesting to use my drill (as his drills were low on battery), and even getting the measurements wrong for our kitchen window, not once, but twice. It took Mike three tries and three visits to get it right, which resulted in a lot of stress, wasted time, and inconvenience to us as consumers. It is because of this negative experience that I cannot recommend Mike. I can only learn from this experience and caution fellow HomeStars users as they consider who to work with. HomeStars has been an excellent resource for us as we have successfully hired three contractors to work in our home since moving in three months ago. Mike would have been the fourth. Unfortunately for us, he wasn't.

Just wanted to take a moment to recommend Mitchell and his team. I found Mitchell to be very diligent and his team to very professional and helpful. I hired them to fix a hole in the siding of my roof, to repair a section of the gutter above our porch, and to clean an area on the siding of our home. Mitchell's guys were on time and finished the work quickly. They were respectful and easy to work with. I would definitely work with them again for projects around my home. Thank guys for the good work!

Just wanted to take a moment to commend and recommend Alan for his home inspection services. We had Alan come to our about a month ago for a home inspection. We actually chose to work with him because he was willing to go on our roof to inspect it where as another home inspector I was considering wasn't. In all honesty, I'm thankful we chose Alan because by going on our roof to inspect it, we discovered that racoons had made a hole in our siding. Had we not worked with Alan, I don't think the other home inspector would have been able to notice the hole from the ground. Anyhow, Alan was pleasant to work with. He was thorough in his inspection, patient in answering our questions, and detailed in his report. So, if you're looking for a home inspector, go with Alan!

Just wanted to take a moment to commend and recommend this company, and Shane in particular. He came to our home about a month ago to clean our ducts, and I must say, I really appreciated his professionalism, respectful manner, and helpful disposition. Shane did a great job cleaning our ducts, answering our questions, and respecting our home. In so doing, he pretty much made certain that we would work with him again in the future.
