First of all, when Daniel came to do the estimate, he assured me that HE would be one of the team doing the work. That goes a long way for me as the 20-year owner of a house built in the 1920s. I am more than aware of the unpredictable nature of the place. Daniel was thoughtful, professional, and especially clear in communicating not just what work would be done, but how and why. His written estimate further reflected exactly what was planned. He was punctual for the estimate and for the work, as were his two equally personable and knowlegeable partners. When a couple of quirky old-house elements inevitably showed up, they were able to shift on the fly and do the extra problem solving, testing and re-testing all their work at the end of the day until Daniel was satisfied that all was finished precisely. The job included the re-piping noted, well as replacements of several valves indoors, removing an old garburator, updating (shock arrester) for the dishwasher connection. Outdoors, a new frost-free hose bib was installed while the old leaking shut off valve was replace, and an unused valve was discontinued. Daniel also snaked and camera inspected the main sewer line, which I need to have done about once every year or two depending on the roots which inevitably grow in cracks in the distant half or so of remaining clay pipe as it leads towards the sidewalk, and at the start of the old city connection. It was re-assuring for me to review with the camera where the roots were happening. The team discovered on the day of the work that snaking/cleaning out the basement laundry sink drain line through that clean out was also needed, and they did not add any extra charge for that. I recommend Daniel and Pristine Plumbing with no reservations. And believe me, I've had a lot of plumbers in the house over 20 years. They are the best, and I will be having them back. Because each of them is so conscientious, as well as willing to show up at 8am, I am confident that I would be able to call on them to do any work in future if I was unable to be at home while they worked, or even if I was travelling and just needed to get a key to them from a neighbour.
