I recently had a new Unilux fan coil installed. Since day one, the fan coil has been making a high-pitched spinning noise in addition to intermittent sounds of air gusts. Also, the machine itself is very loud -- much louder than my old fan coil. It is so loud that I have to turn off the fan at night otherwise I cannot fall asleep. It gets worse. The fan coil blows extremely cold air only. Even though our condo building hasn't turned the A/C on yet, my fan coil only blows very cold air (even when it's on "heat".) A couple of days ago when it was 82 degrees outside, my apartment was 67 degrees. It still gets worse. I have had a rotating door of technicians and engineers inside my apartment in an attempt to fix the many problems. Not only were they unable to fix it, they often made matters worse. When Tim, the general manager of Unilux, came here himself to personally help remedy the problems, he left here with my fan coil hanging out of the wall. He only added to the list of problems. In addition to the noise issues and temperature issues, my fan coil is now dislodged from my wall. Yep, you guessed it -- it still gets worse. I have repeatedly requested a return and refund. Tim has refused to issue me a refund and instead prefers to continue this unreasonable charade of technicians coming inside my apartment and being unable to fix the many problems. I have reached the point where I am now getting a lawyer to help me get my refund. Never in my life have I ever experienced something like this. I feel like my $5000 is being held hostage. Dodge yourself a bullet and stay away from Unilux. If not for the poor quality of their products, stay away because of the terrible customer service. I feel like I have been living in a nightmare for many weeks.
