Brant, I just wanted to let you know what a knowledgable, and friendly installer you have. I was concerned about how to wire the house for my safety, and after I explained to him that I don't sleep at night, or go into the basement to do the laundry at night because i'm afraid someone will "break in", he assured me that he will wire the house to keep us safe, and to put us at ease. He actually said that "that would change now". He was as fast as he could be, considering that the basement windows were not wired, as we were told they were, and didn't mind my children following him around to watch him as he wired the house. My 7 year old told us at dinner that he will finally be able to sleep tonight because he won't have to listen for robbers breaking in (I had to explain that robbers usually only break into houses for a reason, that we were just taking extra precautions)! And last night was the first night since we moved in that both of my kids slept through the night, and my husband set the alarm when he went to sleep, and he told me too that he feels better going to work with the security system in too! We will be getting a few more contacts and a glass break in the next month or so, but for now we know that just the decals and lawn stake send a message to anyone seeing our house as an easy target (we are a corner lot, with no fencing as of yet). We are going to work on making our kids feel safe, and hopefully not need to spend thousands when they are teenagers for a fear of "robbers breaking in", but that will be another issue...
