Weve used Eugene and Ez fix appliance for a few years now (for fridge, dishwasher, and dryer). His service remains consistent - his communication is so efficient and speedy (a trait VERY rare these days, I have found); he is a pleasure to interact with and clearly enjoys what he is doing; he doesnt waste any time and gets the job done well, cleanly, and quickly (in a good way - he doesnt rush things. He is evidently experienced and knowledgeable and wont stop working until he sees the results we both want); his prices are VERY competitive and reasonable, and he just overall exemplifies someone Id be happy to continue to do business with. Great guy. Great service. Great company. HIGHLY recommend.

I'll make this short and sweet: EXCELLENT service. I contacted Marc through his website. In less then 30 mins he reached out to me by phone call, and when I couldn't answer, he texted me AND emailed me the answers to my questions. Got him in as soon as possible. He was personable (friendly and funny [a bonus, in my opinion]), and he educated me on some things regarding my dryer vent. Will absolutely be answering his call a year from now for a routine clean.

This is the second time we've had to call Gancy within a period of 7 months... not for the same exact issue though. When we first moved into our house last June, we had a pharaoh ant issue. Thanks to Gancy, that has been eliminated (I hope forever!). Recently, however, we've experience a surge of various bugs from carpet beetles to a first time visit from an earwig and silverfish. I contacted Gancy right away, pretty much being a pest myself because I have been worried and nervous about what was happening and where it was all coming from! Gancy not once made me feel bad for asking him all my questions or expressing my concerns, and he answered everything with knowledge, professionalism, and confidence in his life's work. He helped calm me (however much he could lol). He has been so patient and understanding with me, and never failed to make me feel at ease that all will be resolved as best as it possibly could be (and this included providing us with some tips on how to keep those bugs out). He is just such an honest and generous professional (he basically did a few different treatments at once for nearly half the price-- it was very nice and empathetic of him). While I'm hoping we won't have to deal with all this again, I'm relieved we can always count on Gancy. I will recommend him to anyone I possibly can.

We moved into our new house in the summer with the intention of removing a wooden structure our previous owners installed as a religious shrine in the second floor hallway, as well as replacing the carpet there. Hiring contractors outside of personal connections is terrifying for me. I look at reviews religiously, as a result. So, when I saw that Torontonian Flooring had 99% on Homestars with over 200 reviews, I had to contact them. Communication is probably the first hint of a good, reliable contact. Mike would respond probably in 5 minute intervals, answering my questions with a kind of relaxed, yet professional tone (it didn't feel stale or robotic). His colleague Mehmet did our consultation (Mike called me 20 minutes before Mehmet's arrival to confirm when he'd be there), coming right on time (punctuality is the second most important hint that you've made a trustworthy contact). He explained everything-- what they would need to do, how long it would take, material explanations, cost breakdowns, etc. He took the time. Never seemed in a rush. Felt like we knew him from before. We decided to go with Mike and his team pretty much immediately, again solidifying a date and reviewing/approving costs with quick and easy communication. On the day of, they contacted my husband for any time changes, gave him advice on maintaining the materials (i.e. painting baseboards to secure durability), and left us with a pretty clean and clearly beautiful (as you can see from the photos) floor. Everyday since the renovation (we did this on Monday) I look at the floors and literally say out loud, "man this is nice". So, we're happy (And relieved!) And we'll use these guys again in the near future when our bedroom carpets need replacing. :)

We noticed pharaoh ants sporadically in our new house we moved into about 2 months ago. About a week and a half ago we noticed quite a few coming and going in our kitchen and realized they had been making their way onto our kitchen counters (which are black granite, so it was impossible to see them there until we looked at the old caulking). We were heading to vancouver for a week and decided to contact a pest control company to come for when we returned (in the meantime we put Terro ant bait to sit while we were away). Found Gancy and his company on Homestar and the phenomenal reviews had me contacting him. Now I am HUGE on communication-- Gancy responded almost immediately, writing me back and forth and explaining what the situation would be. He came this morning (right on time-- and he confirmed with me the night before and earlier this morning of his expected arrival time) and explained what he was going to do (He is VERY considerate, which is nice to see from professionals). I wasn't there but I later texted him about his findings and what his thoughts were in terms of the severity of the issue. He reassured me it didn't seem serious and to contact him if we saw them again in a few weeks. Gancy seems extremely knowledgeable (he demonstrated this particularly when I asked him what he thought of baits, etc... he explained what could help and what would make the situation worse depending on the product and he was able to explain why... he educated me on the subject,, which made me feel more in control and confident). I feel fortunate to have found him and will absolutely call him (and recommend him) every time there is an issue (though I hope I won't need to!). He cares. He's experienced. He wants to bring you relief.
