We recently purchased an older home and wanted to refinish the hardwood floors on the 2nd floor which were completely scratched and getting pretty wrecked. We had a couple of other companies give us a quote, and Jim's wasn't the cheapest of them, but we felt very comfortable with him. The other companies also warned us that we might not get very good results because the floor was old and there wasn't much of the wear layer left, but the end result was fantastic! Aside from a few swirl marks here and there from the sander, the new stain and finish looks great and we're thrilled with the results. I've already recommended McGavin Flooring to friends.
