It was a dilemma to get a drywall contractor…from the ones that never returned my calls, to the ones that gave a quote/time to start and never showed up, I even had a contractor who gave me a list of the sheets/materials needed that I bought and I never heard from him again! Then I found Rob on Homestars. What a difference….What a contractor! I contacted Rob on a Friday; he returned my call on his weekend to acknowledge that he got my message and gave me an appointment on Monday for a quote! Rob showed up on time and generously worked on a quote within my budget. He also worked within the timing I wanted the job to be done. What a WONDERFUL job Rob and his team delivered: the professionals Brandon, Matt & Bob for drywall and corner bead, the skillful Chico for taping/mudding and the hard working polite Paul for mudding & sanding. What a team! Pleasant people and easy to deal with…. Each single one of them went steps beyond to give me seamless BEAUTIFUL basement walls. Rob made sure that his team had everything needed to deliver a perfect job. Knowing that we will do the primer/painting ourselves and that we won’t have electrical power until couple more weeks, Rob offered to leave 2 of his working lights for us to use…. What a thoughtful person! THANK YOU VERY MUCH Rob for a fabulous job… thanks for your professional polite team. I have already asked Rob for a quote on another job in my renovation project and I will definitely recommend Robs Renos to my friends and anyone who wants a PERFECT job.

I used Cosmopolitan Mechanical services about 2 months ago to relocate ducts and install new furnace. I was impressed with their excellent service. Two days ago the supply duct (an old duct) dropped down and needs to be put back in its place. I did not think twice, knowing their excellent service I directly called Cosmopolitan and they were there! they understood the urgency but couldn't schedul me the same day as all their technicians were all booked.. Next morning, Dave and his assistant Roheel came, did the work needs to be done to fix the duct. Professional, punctual, polite and respectful technicians. I was not charged for this service! As I recently installed a new furnace with Cosmopolitan, Dave considered this service as continuation to the furnace installation! Cosmopolitan delivered excellent proffesional service again!

I've been trying to find the words to describe the WONDERFUL job Paul did in framing our basement. Paul is a skilled, honest, punctual, respectful craftsman. I had to change the scheduled time for framing with Paul twice due to delay in windows installation and Paul generously accomodated me in his busy schedule. In 2 days of non-stop 8-9 hours/day Paul delivered an AMAZING basement with whatever I asked for. When he had to box a weired area close to a window he did it in a genius way so not to block the window light. I am also extremely impressed with Jason'The Crew', how quick he was in measuring perfectly, cutting, preparing and delivering so Paul can come up with the BEAUTIFUL final product. What a team!! the A++ team. It was wonderful dealing with Paul. I guess PTR stands for: Proffessional Talented Respectful carpentry! Thank you Paul, thanks Jason.

This review is way over due as I recently knew about Homestars. I bought the house with a beautiful iron backyard gate. The side gate to the walk-out and the gate to the front yard were old ugly broken wood. I decided to change them to match the beautiful main gate. I searched on the internet and yellow pages and found Abbco Railings & Custom Iron work. Carlos is an artist. he took the design of the main gate with all the details and measurment and produced two beautiful iron side gates that looks EXACTLY like the main gate. Such a professional, honest , respectful person , came in time , the price was very reasonable. Thanks Carlos. I definitly recommend Abbco/Carlos to anyone who needs beautiful iron work.

Three ducts had to be re-located as they were going through joists and these joists had to be supported. I had very short time to find someone to do this. I searched Homestars and found good reviews on Cosmopolitan Mechanical so I gave them a call. They answered my call (not to leave a message like other companies), I told them about what needs to be done and the urgency. They gave me an appointment the same day. Their representative was at my place in 4 hours. he understood the urgency...made some phone calls and told me that they will be at my place tomorrow morning @ 9:00 a.m! My Furnace is over 15 years old so he gave me a good deal on a new high efficency furnace that I couldn't reject. 9:00 a.m. next morning Fred & Peter were here....installing the new furnace. 15 minutes later Arshad - the supervisor- came to re-locate the ducts himself. He suggested a different solution of re-locating them other than what I had in mind and it was a way better solution than mine. They worked professionally, over 5 hours with no break, answered all my questions. I cannot believe that I called to ask for a service and I got the service done professionally just the next day with a very good price . Thank you EJ ...SPECIAL thanks to Fred, Peter and Arshad. I am very impressed with the service and highly recommend them.
