The cold room under my front porch was letting in a significant amount of water after every rainfall. The waterproofing job was not your typical job, as the area of the leak was not easy to access and it was difficult to assess the right solution until the area was excavated. I had interviewed all sorts of tradespeople to get their opinion on how to solve the problem. Many seemed to oversimplify the issue and almost all others would be quick to offer an interior waterproofing solution without trying to understand or address the root cause of the water issue. When I met Domenic, I felt that he was the only person who was knowledgeable enough to understand the challenges of the job and explain to me how he would approach it based on all the various scenarios he would encounter once excavation started. Given that there was a lot of uncertainty in the job (until excavation started), I was a little bit nervous as to what was being addressed but Domenic assured me that I would have a dry basement and that whatever price was agreed upon, he would honor regardless of the work required to address the water issue. Domenic was good to his word, as when the job started, his team decided to waterproof an area which was much larger than what we had originally agreed upon, to ensure the issue was resolved. My family and I were very pleased with the results and we're very happy to finally have a basement that is no longer damp and musty. I will definitely look to Auqa Tech first for any future projects.

When I first started my renovations, I was a little unclear as to how I should approach the project. Jason was one of the first tradesperson I met and he was very accommodating and patient with helping me understand the process. I eventually agreed to work with him after a number of consultations, and could not be any happier with the results. Vaso was always reachable and responsive when we had any questions or concerns. His team was also very professional and helped out even if it was outside the scope of their work. As an example, my cabinets were noticeably loose from the wall and my carpenter had repeatedly neglected to fix this. After Vaso's team arrived, they had mentioned this to me once and once they realized that no action was being taken from my carpenter, they proactively fixed this themselves, although I did not expect them to. I've read a number of reviews on homestars which mentioned that Renaissance's price was on the higher end. I do not see any issues with this as Jason was upfront and transparent with his pricing and he did not nickel and dime us on cost as additional work came up that we had not discussed. Overall I am happy that we decided to work with Jason and Vaso.

Dmitri and his team had helped me with the demolition and installation of new tiles and backsplash for my kitchen, foyer, and powder room. As with all significant home improvement projects, I had worked with all sorts of tradespersons (I counted at least 8) and I definitely felt that Dmitri was the most professional tradesperson I had worked with. He was very meticulous and would ensure that everything was done to our satisfaction. He was always very punctual and was very respectful and courteous to my family while working on the job. Dmitri was also transparent with his pricing, and offered to refund a portion of the cost because some work did not turn out to be as complicated as he had quoted. He was always very accommodating with his time, and had to wait and return a few times more than would have been necessary due to other tradespersons being late with their schedules. He even went above and beyond for me when one tradesperson had left without completing his work, and Dmitri called on a favor from one of his friends to come by on really short notice to complete an unfinished job that another person had left behind in order to help my home improvement project stay on schedule. These days, I find it rare to meet someone like Dmitri who has a high level of accountability and professionalism. I can easily see how he has earned the “Best of 2011” award, as it is well deserved.

John and his team were very punctual and efficient. He did a very nice job of proposing the lighting layout and did not "nickle and dime" us on the price when we asked for additional items that we had not planned. I liked that John was very straightforward in his pricing and was very transparent and fair in the pricing of materials (I often found that other electricians overpriced the potlights to make up for labour costs). I was very satisfied with the job and will call him back for any additional electrical work that I require.

Dave helped me with replacing my furnance, AC, and hot water tank. He also serviced my fireplace. Dave was always punctual for every appointment and was very professional. It was a fairly large job but Dave and his team stayed very late and did not leave until the job was completed (which was important since it was the middle of winter). He even came back very early the next day to service my fireplace. When he completed the job he made sure that he cleaned the work area and took away all the packaging (garbage) after he left. My experience working with QUICKFAST was very positive. I have already recommended him to my family members and will call him first for any other HVAC jobs.
