My friend and owner of the house found this company's voucher through "dealfind", she had never heard of them before and it sounded pretty good. From the moment this company arrived I felt the pressure and upsell from one technician in particular. The other technician seemed quite nice and was cleaning the ducts as best he could. The problem came when I started to ask about the cost breakdown, they kept saying this is this, and that is that. I told them I understand (I am an educated person), I kept asking how the voucher was being used towards this final price," Well, without the voucher it would cost almost $1000.00 (all this for a super long vaccum)!" the technician responded seeming a bit agitated. I knew this was ludicrous pricing as I had furnace cleaning done by another company at a house of similar size which we had just sold and it was a lot less! Anyways, long story short the one technician was working on the furnace (which was working fine in the morning and is only 5 years old). He came up and said I needed it serviced because the igniter was faulty. He said he could call a guy for a quote???? He had this guy almost on speed dial (suspicious). He quoted me $230.00 to fix the part. I told him this was odd because it was just working in morning. Well, upon further inspection that night we had a friend come over to look at the furnace who fixes them and to our surprise the part was sheared off...a clean break. Although, I cannot prove what happened exactly, all I know is that before this technician worked on the furnace it worked just fine. He kept asking me if he should call the heating guy to come into fix the part...he could be in right away, something was very suspicious about this to me...I told him I would hold off and contact my friend who owned the house to see how to proceed. So now we have no heat and will have to incur another expense. Not too mention we are left with no heat and have 2 small children! At least it is not -35! degrees! I feel like there was something else going on here. I think that this company is suspect in their dealings with customers and are all about pressuring for the upsell and talking the talk to make people spend more than they need to. Buyer beware sometimes the deal on "dealfind" is not always the best deal (and usually comes with a catch).
