When a homeowner calls and needs to get a power failure addressed in there home, some of the questions I ask is 1-is the breaker off or tripped or is the fuse burnt out? 2-were they using a plug in heater or appliance when it happened? 3-could a GFI in a bathroom be tripped?
Some question can allow the client to see that the power failure could be as simple as turning on a breaker. I ask questions to avoid embarrassing situations and help homeowners understand their homes.
