Hi Jeff, thanks so much for your feedback on the work we did in your home. I'm happy to hear you were overall content with the installation. I have spent some time thinking about your comments with the dust as this can be a concern for people during renovations. We do try to cover parts of the house when removing linoleum as this can be a very dusty process. Dust gets in the air and on our clothing and it's impossible to eliminate all of it even with covering up. I feel we could have done a better job covering up your cabinets but sometimes with the homeowners using the kitchen during the reno, it's difficult to keep the dust under control. Since we had to cut in your garage due to weather, I apologise if there was more dust than you anticipated. I should have noticed it and spent more time cleaning up. We have vacuums on our saws but they don't always catch everything and your particular species of wood has a fine dust particle as well as the MDF baseboard we cut.
We do hold our cleanliness standards high and I am glad you brought this to my attention. It's always a concern to me to cover personal items in a home due to liability if something were to get damaged or broken. I should have communicated what to expect upfront and allowed you time to remove or cover personal items. I also think we could have done a better job controlling the dust and for this I am sorry. This is an important aspect of the job for me and moving forward I'm looking into better dust control. I do appreciate the constructive feedback and I plan on making it up to you.
Thanks,
Todd
