In looking at updating our fireplace, our contractor was concerned that there might be mold in the back of our basement . After having the necessary air quality tests completed, receiving confirmation that we had a problem, and on their recommendation we contacted Healthy Home to handle the problem. Even though it was a Sunday, Gabriel immediately contacted us to make arrangements for the inevitable "lockdown" once we confirmed that we had a son with heart & lung issues. Right from the beginning, Gabriel and his team went above and beyond the call of duty. They ensured that our possessions were carefully cleaned and wrapped. They put in very long hours to make sure that the job was done quickly and accurately. And, less than a week later, we got the clearance we needed. Gabriel's team (Eric, Pablo & Diego) were extremely dedicated workers and we cannot thank them enough for their hard work. I have never been a "basement" person, but our basement is now so clean that even I will spend time down there. Since then, we have hired Gabriel to help with locking down our family room while we have the fireplace finally removed (no mold)& upgraded. That job as well was handled with the same dedication and professionalism. Highly recommend Healthy Home Center.

In looking at updating our fireplace, our contractor strongly suggested that we contact IAQ as he suspected that there might be mold in the back of our basement (note that 4 other Ottawa area contractors had been in to our home and not one suggested testing!!). We contacted Sean who promptly visited our home, completed a full inspection, completed the necessary tests and finally confirmed that there was indeed mold that needed remediation. This was followed by an in depth report, full details on exactly what needed to be done, and other recommendations on what other measures we could take to take the improvements to the next level. We have a son with heart & lung disease. Confirmation of mold was mind-blowing. To his credit, Sean is an engaging man. He has the skill set to calm one down, empathize with your situation, calmly explain what is needed, and finally reassure you that it is possible to fix it all. The remediation was completed and IAQ returned to our home to do the final testing which confirmed that the problem had been dealt with. During his second visit to our home, he sat down with us and made recommendations on other improvements we could make and how to deal with fireplace removal, etc. given our son's health. We will take his advice. In closing, IAQ, Sean, and his team (Marie comes to mind) are highly recommended. We will take every opportunity to suggest/recommend their services. This was money well spent!
