Barb in Toronto

I've used Mr. Rooter in Toronto a few times and after moving to St.Catharines recently called them to look at a few things in our new house. I got a call about half an hour before the plumber was going to arrive, which was great because they didn't give me a 4 hour window where I needed to be waiting at home. "Jamie C." was the plumber who arrived. He took off his shoes before he came in, I showed him the problem (leaky shut off under the sink and gurgling noise). He said they were both easy fast fixes even though they were in a really tight small space. He asked if I had any other questions and I did, just some minor things in the bathroom and outside faucet. He was very friendly, answered all my questions and did the work I requested fast and was tidy about it. It's been very consistent with all my Mr. Rooter experiences which is why I like using them even though they might cost a bit more than an independent plumber. All the plumbers who have worked on my homes have been courteous and extremely forthright.

I was lucky enough to find Alan about 8 years and two houses ago. At the first house he built us a beautiful deck off our third story bedroom. He was very collaborative, happy to hear my ideas and made a lot of excellent recommendations and created a beautiful outdoor space for us. At our next house he did A LOT of work: - levelled out our crooked house and floors - enclosed a front porch to be part of our indoor space (front foyer) - tiled our foyer floor, kitchen backsplash and entire bathroom - installed beams on our main floor ceilings - built a functional and beautiful custom cabinet to fit around the washer and dryer which was in our kitchen (so it looked like part of the kitchen - in the photos of the kitchen, the cabinet is on the opposite side of the room as the fridge and stove, it fits right in) - installed doors (regular doors as well as a barn door with track) - installed baseboards and trim throughout - built a beautiful custom desktop. He also did some minor plumbing and electrical and would pop by for smaller jobs like putting up light fixtures and house numbers which was amazing because it's so difficult to find people willing to take smaller jobs on. Alan is extremely reliable, reasonably priced, detail oriented, collaborative and a wonderful person. If I could give him more stars I would. Please have a look at the photos of all his wonderful work. ***I listed the price as $100+ because I couldn't submit my review without a price. As you see I've listed A LOT of things and obviously the cost for each job varies. But as I said, he's very reasonably priced.

I used Aetna to inspect my last house for termites as well as my current house. Both times Richard was sent out. He was on time, thorough and very pleasant :)

This is the second time I've used TS Kitchen Projects. I was so happy with Traian's work at my past home that I called him back when we moved into a new house. Traian is punctual, very detail oriented and offers up great suggestions that enhanced my kitchen(s). There were a few things I wasn't sure about when I ordered my kitchen and he helped me figure it out in a way that made sense and looked great. One of the difficulties with the job he did for us was that we were using some discontinued lower facings and thought we had everything we needed, but we didn't. Traian went above and beyond to find the missing pieces we needed which we really appreciated. He also had to cut a few of these discontinued pieces down for a custom fit and did an amazing job at making them fit right in. Great job Traian, I'll be calling you again when I move into my next place ;) Barb
