This is the second time that we have dealt with Rose and Monika @ Fieldstone (the first time was for a new front door and side entrance window). In this last instance we had new dining room and kitchen windows installed. Their quote was competitive and the installation work was very good with the installer also ensuring that the site was cleaned up after the work had been completed. Sonny at Toronto Custom Zone was very easy to deal with and responded to my every question. He helped guide us through the various options that might work in our home and we ended up with a fireplace unit that both fits well in our living room and gives off a comfortable level of heat. After leaks developed in our roof I went up to our attic only to discover that the insulation was not only wet but also very old, offering (at best) an R10 level of insulation. After checking out insulation companies listed on Home Stars, I decided to give Zdenek a call. Zdenek responded very quickly and came in with a fair and competitive quote. On the day that the service was scheduled, Zdenek and his team showed up on time (bonus points!) and went to work. Despite the messy nature of the work Zdenek and his team worked quickly and efficiently, scrapping away the old insulation and then bringing our attic up to an R50 rating. After they had completed the project Zdenek and his team did a nice job of cleaning up. If you are looking for a good insulation company give Zdenek a shout!

Finding myself in need of roof repairs, I asked a neighbour (who had just recently had his roof done) who he used. He told me that he used a company called Rosman Roofing and suggested that I give them a shout. After trying to get information from a variety of other companies (some who responded, many who didn't) I was pleasantly surprised with Jake's responsiveness. He issued the estimate in a timely manner and, after checking out the reco's on Home Star's, I decided to award the project to his team. Jake and his team did a great job, cleaned up all the mess and came in on budget. Jake even went so far as to send out one of his team members to cover our leaking roof with a tarp during a heavy rainfall that took place a few days prior to ensure that we would have temporary protection until the repairs had been completed. When it comes time to replace the flat portion of our roof I will definitely be contacting Jake again! I would highly recommend Jake and his team from Rosman Roofing if you are looking for a roofing company that can be counted on.
