I was contacted after I posted my issue on Homestars. He asked for photos and I sent him a video of the issue my crank window was having while closing. He advised the issue was it needed a replacement track and crank and quoted me $280 and said he was ordering the parts. He came a week later with the parts and realized it was not just the track and crank but also the hinge. He had to get that part as well and come back again and said it would be an extra $80. He knew what he was doing and did the job quickly. It would have been better if he came and did a quote in person instead of based on a video but obviously wanted to save time. Overall it was a good experience.

After getting the run around from a couple of other duct cleaning companies who were very aggressive with booking and then no shows or super late to arrive for the booking (also had multiple company names, no one answering the switchboard number, no email replies to the address on 1 of their site), I luckily found Air Force after a recommendation from a neighbour. Air Force is a little more expensive than these other companies but know knows if the other guys had hidden fees etc. Air force was super organized when I called them. I received confirmation emails of exactly what to do to prepare. The guys were super on time (like to the minute), were very nice and polite, and did a thorough job. They sent me before and after photos and even carried a credit card machine if you didn't want to e-transfer. Then the office sends you a formal receipt. I'm still chasing down the other company for a receipt for just the filter they sold me. I would definitely recommend Air Force.

I own a 100+ year old house off the Danforth in Toronto city with the original flooring (2" width hardwood). Some previous owner cut 2 square holes in it to send wires upstairs and left them like that - ugly and unsafe. I floated this request on homestars and no one wanted to touch it. They all wanted to completely redo all my flooring or nothing. Likley because the floorboard size isnt standard and it wants going to be a $2-3k job. Maple Green seemed legitimately interested in making this work out for me. He even went to a wood warehouse to try to find wood this size. He ended up being able to use boards from the laundry closet as they were identical in size and stain colour. He was able to swap those to the living room and custom made replacement boards for the laundry in the same size (tongue and groove and everything) but just in a slightly different colour. No one will see that or care tho. Price was a bit higher than I wanted to pay for these floors but the work difficult so I understood his price point. It looks great and is super sturdy so its safe! Woukd recommend Maple Greens skills and he was very easy to deal with.

Ali called me within about 10 mins of me posting on Homestars looking for a furnace fix at Christmas time. I was in need of someone that day and he was able to get to the house within 20 mins of our chat. The assessment price was slightly higher than other quotes I received ($120 vs $90-100) but he was there fast and diagnosed the problem within minutes. He was knowledgeable of why the furnace failed as well as of the specific brand of unit. He replaced the part that day and even picked me up a new filter which he didn't even charge me for! Really polite and appreciative of my business. Also wore a mask etc during COVID.

I took over a duplex that had tenants who lived there for 4 years and obviously didn't clean the entire time. After assessing the place myself I realized I needed a professional and selected Ecosparkle because of all the great reviews. Their price was incredibly reasonable compared to other companies who responded to my request ($150 for 2 ladies for 2.5 hours). They also offered an option of an additional $30/hr per lady if the place required more. I did direct them to focus on specific things (oven, fridge, mold in shower). They addressed what I needed. They even got some of the stain out of the white porcelain sink which quite surprised me! I understand they only use environmentally friend products so the fact that they got the mold out of the shower is pretty impressive. They also responded to my request very quickly (with the great price) so I definitely made the right price in selecting them. I would use them again for this kind of job (or even a regular cleaning job of my own home should that come up). Thanks again ladies!!!
