We searched for a contractor to provide a quote on a custom glass shower door for our new bathroom. The space was very small and we were not sure of the design and how to attach it to the granite shower walls. Jim from Prestige glass took my call, and right away arranged for a visit to the house, provided a detailed quote and gave us some good advice. Prestige quote was less than the two others, and the product was far superior. The glass shower door was ordered and installed as stated, and to the specifications, time and cost that was agreed. We are 120% satisfied with the experience with Prestige and highly recommend this company. We had only ONE other contractor for the bathroom that was excellent (Ottawa Granite Art). Everyone else from the general contractor to the tiling was a nightmare. I grew up helping my dad in his contracting company in BC. We did top quality work....I have never seen so many horrible contractors as I have in Ottawa. Prestige is doing more than its part to off set the bad contractors out there. We hired Bill from Ottawa Granite Art in Ottawa http://www.ottawagraniteart.com/ to provide a design, prepare and install granite walls in our shower. The space was very small, and it would be a challenge to have the three walls installed without cutting the 60" panel of granite to get it through the door. From the start, Bill was very kind and helpful. He is a true artist; taking on this challenge and providing us with some great ideas of how to handle the job. He helped us select the color, and subsequently called around to suppliers to make sure the granite was top quality and would be the same color throughout. We also decided to have a granite top put on the vanity and Bill suggested doing the baseboards in the granite as well. Bill made numerous trips from his shop in Greely to our house by Gloucester Centre - at no extra charge. The granite is not the cheapest in town, but he does not jack up the price from the original quote, and installation means total installation. That means however many trips it takes to measure. He installs on panel, measures and makes the cuts at his shop. The work was IMPECABLE. The cuts exact. The company who installed the glass shower door had to drill into the granite and they said it was one of the hardest granite they had ever drilled. Bill even took me to the hardware store when we discovered that that part of the drain was missing from the tap set and he could not put in the sink without it. He bought me coffee (as I had got him one earlier in the week) and truly he made a tough project really fun. The granite looks amazing! We have had several friends how have seen the shower walls, ask for his card. We highly recommend this company. Connie
