As part of my kitchen reno, I decided to go with TorontoGranite for my countertop install. They had a vast selection of samples to browse through which was good, but also made selecting one a daunting task. They also had a number of full slabs on display of different textures, designs, brands to help narrow down the search which I appreciated. My suggestion to anyone looking for countertops would be to go to the different manufacturer's showrooms to look at the full slabs; this helped me tremendously. Once I placed the order with Bob on a Tuesday morning, Mirko (his brother) came the same day to measure the space and my countertops were installed on Friday that same week. I was really impressed with the turnaround time as I was guesstimating a week or two. A team of two arrived to install my countertops and they were fast, efficient and pleasant to talk to. Overall, I am pleased with TorontoGranite and the final end product. I feel they are genuine, truly care and will be around to support me if issues arise in the future. Thanks Mrs. Petrov, Bob and Mirko! Hopefully, we can work again on the backsplash ;)

The gas control on my hot water tank needed to be replaced. Barry was nice enough to come to my place to check my tank and provided me with the options available. I opted to replace the gas control and decided it was also a good time to service my furnace. Once I scheduled the appointment, Mike and Jordan came on time the next day and got right to work. While the tank was being drained, the furnace and humidifier were cleaned. I really felt they went above and beyond to clean the various parts of the furnace and also fixed a broken hose. They were nice enough to explain what they were doing and also provided some tips on general maintenance. Definitely happy with the service provided and to have hot water again.

I contacted Derek's Tree Service a couple of weeks ago for a quote to remove a willow and soft maple. Mike, from the company, contacted me the next day and gave me a day/time he would come to size the job. Unfortunately, I couldn't be at home at the time, but Mike was kind enough to come and left the quote on my porch. The quote was provided on a Friday and on Sunday, I received a follow-up call from Mike. I was really impressed with this and secured their services that day. Mike kept me updated on availability and today, the team came on time to remove the two trees. The team tackled the work efficiently and were extremely effective. The tree removal, grinding of the two stumps and clean-up was all done within 2.5 hours. Mike was an extremely pleasant guy to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the company for your tree removal needs.

Brent was prompt in answering my calls and scheduling an appointment was extremely easy. He arrived on time and first did an inspection of the exterior of the house starting from the front and then to the rear. He also propped up a ladder and inspected the roof (from the rear of the house). Once the exterior was done, the garage was looked over and then we proceeded into the basement where Brent inspected the cold storage, furnace etc. The main level was then inspected where the fireplace was turned on, the AC etc. Lastly the second level was inspected where Brent inspected the attic for a good 5 to 10 minutes. The entire inspection lasted around two and a half hours. Overall, this being my first home buying experience I did not know what to expect with regards to the home inspection. That said Brent did an excellent job of explaining everything about the house, showed me how to change filters, what settings to keep various elements of the house at and answered all of the questions I prepared for him in advance. Thankfully, there was only 1 issue with the house where a 30 amp fuse was used with 20 amp wiring which Brent was quick to spot which definitely needed to be fixed. He also offered to come back when I moved in to check that the wiring was done correctly. In addition, Brent also recommended that I remove the trees that were currently planted in the backyard. I found Brent very open and willing to answer any questions I asked him. He encouraged me to call him even after I move in if I have any questions at the time. A binder containing all aspects of the home inspection was provided to me immediately after the inspection concluded. Based on my experience with Brent, I will definitely employ his services again when I buy my next home. Thanks for your time and help Brent! p.s.
