A retail/manufacture company authorized this company to install our gas range about 2 1/2 years ago. The stove was being replaced due to a warranty issue. Now....we recently had a service call from another company for the range and was advised that the range was not installed to code. As the service company is no longer qualified to install gas appliances, I needed to call in another company. When I called the company (TAS) who did the original installation, I was advised that they would not correct the problem. I called in another company and learned that not only was the installation not up to code, the gas connection to the stove was not tight. This could have been a major major problem. Fortunately the warranty company has decided to reimburse my costs for the gas stove installation correction. Please refer to the below before (gas line not fixed to wall and short flex hose) and after pictures (gas line attached to wall with long flex hose) so you know how your installation should look. I learned that these codes have not changed in the past 30 years....so no reason for faulty install other than incompetence. Please keep safe
