As a subscriber to Reliance's Heating & Cooling, Maintenance & Protection, and Plumbing Program, I called to see if washing machine hook-up and laundry tub disconnection would fall under the coverage of the plan. I was told that it would.
My plumbing tech was Corey Marentette, a professional young man who communicated well and demonstrated meticulous skill. I related my earlier telephone conversation to Corey in order to confirm that the work he was about to do would be covered by my plan, and he told me that it would not, and he estimated to cost to be around $150.00.
I'm awaiting my statement from Reliance to see if there is an additional charge for the work that was done. The money is not so much the issue but rather the lack of candour from the telephone representative who misinformed me at the outset.
A business is only as good as the people it employs. Young Mr. Marentette has a bright future. He's efficient, courteous, and good at his job. It's unfortunate that a telephone rep can torpedo him before he even gets to his customer's door.
Pay attention, Reliance!
