Shortly after buying our first home we found out that the exterior weeping tiles had failed in places and consequently water was getting into the basement every time it rained. We realized that this was something that must be fixed promptly and proceeded to call companies come to our home and give us estimates on the damage as well as fix the water leak (25k plus). All the companies that we contacted suggested that we should dig around the outside of the house and completely replace the weeping tile. Then we talked to Danny from Grate Drain of Ontario who came and inspected the basement and pointed out all the mould in our basement and discussed the health hazard. He was very knowledgeable and we made the decision to go with Danny’s recommendation to remove all the walls from the inside and put in an interior drainage system. The project took about a week to compete; the crew was friendly, showed up on time every day, and kept us informed throughout the process. We are amazed with the difference in the air quality and the appearance of the finished product.
