Al is an exceptional handyman hard to find in Toronto. He was an apartment superintendant for many years and knows his stuff. Carpentry, plumbing, electrical...odd job fixes. I had a handyman come who demolished the bottom frames of two outside wooden storm windows. Al came along two weeks later and rebuilt the windows as new. The other guy (who came on a bicycle with a toolbelt!) broke the glass, broken the wood and walked away. Al has all the tools, his own van and all the materials he needs. He was recommended to be by my local Home Hardware.

I spent half an hour on the phone trying to get a plumber to come in an emergency... everyone turned me down..except Day and Son in Toronto. My washer hose had split...and was flooding the basement. I could not turn the water off..and could not get the hose clamped off. I had just come home from work and heard water gushing in the basement at 8 p.m. at night. Within an hour...Day and Son had someone there and fixed the problem for me. Due to their timely rescue of a damsel in distress, I would use them again and recommend them to others.
