Neil has been a great help in our major renovation project. From the outset he showed his professionalism and industry knowledge with a detailed walkthrough discussing what work needed to be done and what options were available. From that he put together a comprehensive quote highlighting the scope of work and associated costs. We decided to go ahead with Neil, he wasn't the highest quote or the lowest, but we felt confident he would produce quality results and be someone we could work well with. And over the course of almost a year, this really proved to be true. Neil's a master electrician who we relied on to do work to code and to come up with good solutions whenever problems came up. We always felt that any additional changes we wanted or work that had to be done outside of the original quote was fairly handled. We worked with many contractors and trades during this project - Neil was one of the best and someone we'd want to work with again. He's a big guy with a great sense of humour. Neil's hardworking, takes pride in his work, takes care of his tools, and is willing to share his knowledge and discuss options to help you make the right decisions. Your in good hands with Neil. Definitely recommend for electrical work.

We've been a customer of Kirby's for a few years now and very happy with his cleaning services. So we decided to try his team out for painting services as well - and he introduced us to Al. Al and his paint crew did an excellent job on our renovation project. They completely painted the interior of our 4900sq ft home in a timely manner. Painting is really the crowning touch. It's what stands out after the drywall and millwork is done. Al is a real gentleman. He cared about and did his best to finish so our family could move in. As other trades ended up requiring more time to finish. Al had to juggle and reschedule his team to accomodate our shifting timelines. And then Covid19 hit. Al made arrangements with us to make sure his team was safe. And when his time to finish before the movers came in was compressed, he and his team worked harder to make the deadlines. Their quality of work is excellent. Al, Ray and Ashton spent the time to properly prep, tape, sand and caulk surfaces and trim. Al's cutting is great - sharp and clean lines. They used a combination of spray, back rollering, brush and roller work. End result was a consistent colour on all surfaces. There were some contractors you need to be around to make sure everything was OK. With Al and his crew we didn't have to worry about that. Al was one of the few trades we completely trusted. Not only was he helpful from start the with colour choice & combinations and finishes, he would share advice from time to time that helped us with other aspects of our reno. On the top of all this - his quote was one of the lower ones. When we are ready to paint the exterior, will definitely have Al and his team back. Al gets an A+ for quality of work, timeliness and customer focus.

Renovating an old home brings a lot of headaches. One of them was finding rodent nests in the attic. The smell of urine and sea of "raisins" - gross. They were getting in through holes chewed into our Soffit boards. Looked up Homestars for a couple of pest control companies, called Westside for a quote. Jake came and did a thorough inspection. Decided to go ahead with Westside, they were higher, but based on their many positive Homestar reviews and Jake's professional approach decided to choose them. However Jake became injured, and Westside said they would send another senior technician Egor, who would review all of Jake's notes for our job. Egor arrived early on the day of our appointment and got right to work cleaning the rats nest. He the surveyed the house and reinspected areas to install metal mesh on the soffit to prevent Rodent reentry. Some of the areas that looked like holes actually turned out to be discolouration of the wood. Egor works briskly, keeps you informed about the work he's going to do, and does quality work. On top of that he's very friendly and positive. He decided we didn't need that much mesh installed and reduced our quote. After dealing with many contractors in this reno process, that was a first, having a quote reduced! Egor did an excellent job. Highly recommend the services of Westside

Kirby and Jim came to power wash our driveway, clean exterior windows, and clear our gutters back in September. Based on the many positive Homestars reviews - we expected a good result. What we got was much more than we expected. The driveway was white compared to its dingy dirty grey. They pulled buckets of debris out of the gutters - and the windows never looked better. You can tell they took pride in their work. They even cleaned some additional areas and took care of the moss on the basketball backboard. Professional, pleasant and hard working. Kirby also took the time to offer some suggestions on how to maintain other aspects of our home. Highly recommended and will call back again.

When you engage a company to do the work - you are generally happy when they come close to what you expected. On rare occasions you may get beyond what you hoped for. Kirby and his team did just that. Our home outside is A+ now. Driveway & patio looks new, windows look great, gutters are clear (pulled out 1/2 a recycle bin of gunk), screens are clean, and the siding paint looks renewed. We were blown away. Kirby clearly has a passion for clean and enjoys his work. He did some extras that made a difference. And when you are watching your budget - trying to get your home ready to sell - do yourself a favour and get Kirby in to help you. One less task to do by getting the outside sparking clean and getting maximum curb appeal. And he's a nice guy. Highly recommend - will call Kirby when we get our new place too.
