Recently, Platinum Windows and Doors installed a new front door and sidelight along with a new screen door for me. The people I dealt with made the whole process clean and simple from start to finish. Jim, the sales agent, came to my home, took the first measurements, sat down with me and discussed all the options with samples and the catalogues while I took my time with colours, materials, styles and details. He was very patient and pleasant all the while, never pressured me into anything I wasnt sure about, and offered to cancel if I changed my mind. Whenever I called the office to make an enquiry, Maggie would answer, always bright, cheerful and obliging. I especially found her beautifully articulate voice easy to hear and understand. There was never any mumbling or miscommunication in our dealings over the phone. When the day finally came, two very capable and genial young men, Ricardo and Jesus, dismantled the old door and frame and put in the new without a mark on the wallpaper in my hallway. I was so relieved. They worked hard, were obviously skilled in their craft and left everything as tidy and clean as possible. One problem arose. The new sidelight would not allow for the handle and lock on the screen door. That had to be left until they could return with a different lock and handle. Once again, Jim discussed the options with me and patiently got me what I wanted after I changed my mind again and emailed him - over the weekend yet. Later that week, Ricardo and Jesus returned at the end of a long days work elsewhere and, as promised, installed the new handle and lock. I realized then it came with only two keys, so I wrote to Maggie and asked for the name of the manufacturer and offered to pay for two extra keys because the local key shops didnt have the template to duplicate them for me. No, said Maggie. They would get extras keys for me. No charge. What else can I say? Im very happy with my new doors and especially with the way I was treated through the whole process.

My house inspector discovered problems with my roof: mould in the lower attic, cracked rafter in the upper level along with blocked soffits. Cory at Integrity Roofers took care of it all. He had everything organized and running smoothly - the dumpster, the truck with spray foam insulation, the delivery of all materials. His crew were very polite, considerate and hardworking and did everything they could to look after my plants and outdoor furniture while they were here. By the end of the first day, the old shingles, wood and insulation were gone and the new wood, sheathing and spray foam were complete. The next day, the ventilation system and loose insulation were in place and then the shingles. After supervising these activities, Cory did all the flashing himself on day three and, before he left, swept out my garage which had been used for storage and cleaned up all the last bits and pieces. I could not have asked for better.

Local city digging and construction has displaced the little critters and one found its way into my den. Mike came along and set baits that got rid of them. He has been back a number of times to refill those little bait boxes with no extra charge. So when another one found its way in after another round of sidewalks and boulevards being torn up, Mike came the same day to deal with it. It’s peace of mind for me to know that I can rely on him for help. I wouldn’t be able to handle it, and he is so very kind and patient and courteous and is very careful about taking all the health and safety precautions we need these days.

The young man was courteous and professional in every way. I found him to be very organized and I was very happy to see that the large machine could remain downstairs while the hoses extended all the way to the top floor. I had cleared all the lamps and bric-a-brac from the furniture, and he appreciated that so much he cleaned a couple of small rugs as an extra bonus feature, no charge. My only disappointment was that the beds could not be moved for total cleaning. They are a very heavy mahogany and, since he was working by himself, he did not wish to risk breaking off the headboards. Understandable. The rest of the furniture he was able to move and did a thorough job, leaving foil under the furniture feet where there were no glider pads. Everything was clean and dry by the end of the day. No more big sneezing fits for me! A job well done.

The serviceman, John, was clean, punctual, pleasant and informative and left everything tidy and looking good. Everything works beautifully and easily, important because I am older and appreciate safety and convenience. I received a phone call to let me know when he would arrive and it was so. I appreciate the prompt response and the efficient service.
