I used Thornhill East this past spring/summer, for all lawncare - a complete and upgraded package.
This is not the first season I had Craig attend to my property, but it is the first time The Gardener implemented a full lawn care maintenace service.
My lawn has never looked worse. It was being cut far too short, and I asked Craig repeatedly to raise the blade or skip the cut, as grass which is scalped to the ground is unhealthy for the lawn and makes it prone to disease. The slid seeder was used at the end of last season, and I literally saw my grass uprooted from the soil and spread across my lawn. I was horrified and asked Craig to please restore the lawn to its former condition.
He was sent several emails as well; as telephone messages , and never directly replied back to me. He had his secretary pass along an email he sent to her, which was then to be forwarded to me. The reply was crude, and in the end he never did take responsibility for severely damaging my lawn. Craig asked to be paid in cash, and every 2 months, he collected $170 from me. I paid for the lawn maintenance in cash as well, (240) at his request. There are no paper trails or receipts, as I never got anything...of course paying cash and getting a good price was my priority - I did not require a receipt. I am just devastated that a once healthy lawn is in terrible condition, by anyone's standards. I will have to seed or sod at my own expense, and deal with companies who I trust can restore my property.
I always loved my front lawn, and now I see it as an eyesore and reminder of how something as simple as lawn cutting can cause such damage. Although I do not have receipts, I have saved emails from Craig attesting to the fact he looked after all of my lawncare.
