I had Yigal come in to hang an old antique Oryx head taxidermy above my fireplace. Since this was an old, heavy, and fragile piece, I did not want to attempt this on my own. I also had a very heavy antique ornate window shutter from India that I thought was too heavy to hang on the wall. I called Yigal and he was very professional and clearly knew what he was doing. He had all of the tools and hanging materials he needed to get the job done properly and quickly. Don't bother hanging anything of value on your own. Call Yigal and leave it to a professional to get the job done right! I actually had this work done in 2015, but am embarrassed to say that I completely forgot to follow-up with a review on HomeStars. I found Yigal's card in my desk and thought I would post a review - better late than never!

I had Wow come in to paint the high Stairways and hallways of my old Victorian home. Joe, Josh, and Jose T. were very friendly, professional, and got the job done in one day. They made every effort to ensure that we were happy with the job. I should note that I got a few quotes and Wow's was the most reasonable. Khalid provided the estimate and was quite professional. It was a joy to work with Wow painting and I will certainly hire them again to paint other rooms in my home.

Second time using Rent-a-Son. Called them for this move because they did such a great job on my last long distance move. Amanda is awesome! The estimate is accurate, so you understand what the job will cost, with no hidden fees. The movers are professional and know what they are doing.

I have used Mr. Rooter so many times over the past 10 years and cannot recommend them enough. I have had them repair leaks behind walls and cabinets, replace plumbing in my driveway to the city sewers, install faucets, and recently repair a toilet. I have had Ziggy come to the home most often and he is amazing. I also had Mike come to repair a toilet and he was awesome. The great thing about this company is that all of their plumbers are so professional, and they are dependable. We have had a difficult time, calling over 10 plumbing companies on one of the coldest days last winter and could not get anyone to come same day to fix a leaking pipe. Of course, not a problem with Mr. Rooter. I would recommend them to anyone.

My driveway was in awful shape and was around 20 years old. Part of the driveway had 7 inches of concrete which had to be broken and removed in order to create a smooth sloped surface. After many quotes from various contractors, we decided to go with Armco and were glad we did. They are a very busy company, but worth the wait. They were very professional and used heavy construction equipment to get the job done in just one day! They removed my driveway and underlying concrete and put in a new driveway. I cannot recommend their services enough.

I hired Rent-A-Son to help me move furniture and items from a home in Wiarton, Ontario to downtown Toronto. They were not the cheapest quote I received, but I selected them because of the great reviews on Homestars and because they are a larger company and were able to offer additional insurance on our valuable furniture. In particular, after speaking with Amanda who was so courteous and professional, I felt very comfortable trusting our valuables to them rather than the other companies I spoke with. I am so glad I did! Among the items of furniture we had moved was a 13.5 foot long hard wood table that I thought weighed around 600 pounds. It turned out that the table actually weighed closer to 1000 pounds! Our team of movers managed to move that table down a flight of stairs in one house, and up a flight of stairs in another house without scratches, dents, or damage - amazing! Justin was our foreman and Chris, Daniel and Trevor were the rest of the crew. Later, Amos and Jahmar were called in to help with the table in Toronto. These guys were awesome! All were very professional and friendly and treated our stuff with care. I cannot recommend them enough. I intend to call them again in a few months when I need more furniture moved, and am recommending them to my friends.

After calling several contractors and getting a few quotes, I decided to go with Pro-Reno to remove an old chain link fence and to construct a new 8ft high wooden fence. I am so glad that I did. Their quote was very reasonable and Alex was professional and courteous and was able to get the job done very quickly. I showed him a photo of the kind of fence I wanted (modern, horizontal fencing) and he was able to replicate that after making a few excellent suggestions. He also cleaned up the entire site. Alex guarantees his work for 2 years! I was so happy with the work that he did that I am planning on having him come back to build a fence on the other side of my home.

I had City Concrete to provide me with a quote on a small job. Their estimator was very professional and courteous and they were the most reasonably priced of the 3 quotes I received. There was a small mix-up with respect to the date that the job was to get done, but the owner went out of his way to make sure the job got done on the day that I thought the job was scheduled for. The owner actually showed up to oversee the job himself - very professional! Excellent customer service.

I needed a bin for a minor home reno and called Des. He was very professional and courteous and very reasonably priced. He even offered to let me have the bin for a few extra days.
