This is our second time hiring Precision Gutters. Our first experience with them was about 3 years ago, they installed all new gutters on our old house. They were very knowledgeable, professional, and clearly communicated everything to us. When we found out that they are also now involved in home exterior work, we immediately asked them for a quote to help us with exterior issues we were having with our new house. All of our windows on our 15 year old house had not be installed properly by the builder, and we were literally having windows starting to push out away from the house. We also had some gable and fascia boards that needed replacing, as well as some hardy boards on the front exterior. We also replaced all the window/door trims with new wood trim. In addition, we needed some exterior work completed on our large back garden shed. Precision was more than happy to help us out and add it onto our work order, and they were able to build as an amazing new shed roof with an extended overhang, and added gutters for better drainage. We were so lucky to have two of Precision's amazing employees, Allan (who led us thru the project from start to finish and beyond) and Mike (who completed all the inspections, carried out the exterior work, and offered us practical and aesthetically pleasing solutions). Both Mike and Allan had fantastic communication skills, were always open and honest with us, and took the time to answer any of our questions and concerns. They are both very knowledgeable and experienced professionals who truly care about their quality of work, providing a positive client experience, and standing behind quality craftmanship. Allan was always quick to respond to my questions or concerns, both thru email, phone conversations and site visits. He made us feel comfortable with the project process, the company's standards, and how and why we were being charged for which parts of the project. He was always kind and considerate and very honest. It was such a pleasure working with Allan! Mike always showed up to the job site on time and with a positive outlook for the day. He always explained to us where he was in the process and took us aside to show us details of the project work. Mike always consulted with us first if any unknown issues popped up along the way and provided us with very detailed inspection reports for each window and door, along with photos, so that we would have a permanent record of the issues and the work that was completed. He cleaned up the job site at the end of each day and left things neat, tidy and organized. Mike is a hard worker and is always dedicated to ensuring the homeowner gets top quality work. A huge thank you to Allan, Mike, and the rest of the Precision Gutters team for giving us peace of mind by investigating, solving and fixing our window installation issues. We now have beautiful new window and door trims that make the house look so much better than it did before, and a beautiful and functional new garden shed roof. Well worth the investment! I have also just discovered that Precision Gutters offers regular gutter cleaning and maintenance, and I will be looking into switching over to them for this service in the near future.

I called Carlo after I kept smelling a musty smell in the house and in the basement. We had had a mold inspection years ago that came back all clear. But every spring and summer we were still smelling a musty odour in an area in the basement. After talking to Carlo on the phone, he suggested we check out the drain tile as I was suspicious the smell was linked to after we were watering our plants outside. Carlo walked me through the drain tile system we have at our house, used the camera to thoroughly inspect everything and check for blockages. He also ran water tests to ensure our back sump was working. He basically left no stone unturned! When everything checked out ok, he inspected the basement. He came to the conclusion that as we had an older home, they did not put a water proof barrier on the outside of the concrete foundation, which meant that every time we were watering the plants located next to the house, the water was soaking into the concrete which was causing the smell in the basement. Needless to say, we removed all the potted plants by the house and we now no longer have that musty smell in the house! Had we not called Carlo to help us investigate the issue, we would have been causing moisture damage to our house for years to come! Carlo had also inspected our main water shut off (to rule out leaking pipes) and had noticed that it was not configured properly and will be prone to future leaks that could cause major flooding in our basement. Something our home inspector should have caught and told us about 8 years ago when we bought the house! Carlo opened our eyes to the importance of drain tile inspections. If you are buying a new house, you should have the drain tile inspected! And if you currently own a home but have no idea what type of drain system you have, it is well worth the $500 to have peace of mind that everything is in working order and educate yourself on exactly how the drain tile system should be functioning.
