One of the best designed and built deadbolts is now on your side door. Unfortunately the Smart Key lock that was on your side door is made of cast metal which easily fatigues. Such was the case with yours as you did see the broken piece of cast metal when I removed the old lock from your door. The deadbolt that we supplied includes many more security features than your old lock and includes a much more durable all brass constructed lock cylinder. There really was no choice but to swap it out for a conventional pin tumbler type lock cylinder that is able to be rekeyed.
