Door repair and replacing weather strip

I told to tighten the hinges and replace the weather strip...however in doing so the door gap increased and now the wind is flowing through the doors....causing heat loss...on questioning this the answer by owner is that his job is to tighten the hinges and replace weather strip. He didn't consider the after-effects of his job and is telling me that he did what I told him to do...seriously you are a professional you should know your job better. Pathetic service...not recommended at all
