Josh was very professional up front however, he has never finished the work he started at our property over 6 months ago. Josh also caused damage to an adjacent room in our home that he promised to correct but has failed on those promises. We have made many follow up attempts for him to complete the work and fix the additional damages caused but there is always an excuse as to why he cant come. Ontop of that, the quality of the work is extremely poor. Would not recommend as going with this company means you will need to hire another company to correct their work.

They were doing some home renovation projects for my family up until a few weeks ago. He refused to provide a legitimate contract beyond a chicken scratch note, claimed hours he didn't work, charged for materials he didn't use and tools he should have brought to the job rather than bill me for. I paid cash and he turned around and billed 10% on top of materials because he said "by law" he could. His estimates were never supported, he spent more of my money than he could account for and charged for hours he alleged he traveled to get materials, after we discussed no charge for the trips required to get materials. He argued his hours worked when I have two individuals in my house documenting his working time and multiple video cameras. He would never give any details for the work he did and when he did, it didn't line up with my documentation and recordings.
The worst of it, he did such a terrible job, we had flooding in the bathroom and had to shut the water off and all the calking in the new shower he installed fell out of the seams and can't be used then he ghosted my family (won't return calls or come back to fix his mess).
He has more than 1k for material that he hasn't bought for the projects left to complete and won't return the money. He bragged to me and close friends of mine how he over charged local people in our community for his renovations (specifically $8k or more for bathroom renos not worth anywhere near that) but would give a good deal to me because he was referred by a good friend of mine.

McCleary Contracting was very professional and their rates were very reasonable. They always ensured to clean up every day and communicated with us on status or if any issues could arise. The bathroom turned out great and we are so happy with it.

McCleary Contracting replaced 15 windows and did some amazing finishing carpentry for us. They finished the work ahead of schedule, on budget and were a joy to have around the house. I would recommend them to anyone needing quality work done. I will have them back next time I need their services. Thanks guys!

Josh was very efficient and appreciated during his work here. He made sure everything was taken care of including working with other contractors to help get our garage and home looking great. We will be using his company for all future renos and will recommend him and have already to all our friends and family.

They have high integrity, in every way. I just couldn’t even begin to tell you how great they are to deal with.
We had a misunderstanding and it was taken care of immediately. They work hard and are honestly good people.
