Steps of my old deck started to rot. Since last year I have been looking for contractors to come to replace the steps with no luck. It’s a small job and companies usually are only interested in big projects of building new decks not for small repair work. So I turned to Home Stars. Two contractors were interested. But one replied saying that he was fully booked to the end of the year and asked me to contact them next year. Eventually Maple Fence and Deck responded. Yusuf said he normally did not take on small projects but since I have been waiting for so long, he said he would come and look at it to see if he can help. Even if he could not take the job he said he would be able to see if he could give me some recommendations. He came last Friday and he replaced the steps for me the next day. The job was very nicely done. He also replaced one piece of wood on the top which was not included in the original quote with no extra charge. Thank you Yusuf and thank you to your colleague too for fixing the steps for me so quickly. I am not only impressed by the job done but I am particularly impressed by your kindness and service attitude of helping people out not just concern about getting big projects. Thank you again for your help.

Yusuf and his team did an excellent job replacing our deck, they were very accommodating with the design and offered helpful suggestions.
The work was completed in 4 days and they cleaned up after the job. Excellent workmanship. . I love my new deck. Have to stain it in a few months .
I would not hesitate to recommend them.
Will have better pictures when I get rest of the backyard redone ( it was overrun with weeds! )

What an amazing experience dealing with Yusuf and the Maple Fence and deck team. I found Yusuf through home stars and had great reviews, He came to meet with us to put together a quote on our project. (Elevated deck, 12ftx7ft, with skirt, picture frame finish, composite material, and door under the deck for a storage space) We contacted over 10 companies and received estimates from 5 and Yusuf was the most competitive. We gave Yusuf our idea based on pictures we saw on line and he was ok with delivering our design. During the process he gave us great ideas we incorporated on the final design and agreed on a price. We had a pool and patio installation going on at the same time and Yusuf was very accommodating on when to start the concrete post foundation, so the patio people could work around it, and then start the work later to accommodate the other contractors. And even when the other contractor damaged the base Yusuf installed he fixed it for us and moved on with his part of the project. He was very understanding of everything and had an amazing customer service attitude, by far the best contractor we have had in our back yard project.
The project was completed in just 3 days, and Yusuf and his team worked really hard to deliver a flawless installation. What I would say I was most impressed with was how much he cared about the job his was doing, Yusuf and his team put true love on what they do, you see how he put so much care so all the screws were aligned everywhere equally, all the corners matched perfectly, all the finishes were flawless.
Job was finished ahead of time, they kept all materials clean and organized, they cleaned the whole area after they finished, showed up on time, finished on time, and no surprises… Only positive surprises every day when I got back home and saw the project advancing!!!! What an amazing job!!!! I will recommend him with my eyes closed!!!! What an amazing experience!!!!

Truly Impressed

We were introduced to Maple Fence and Deck through a hardscaping company.  Yusuf contacted us right away and scheduled an appointment to review our deck project and give us a quote.  He was on time, professional and knowledgeable. 

As first time home owners there was some anxiety hiring contractors and we obviously shopped around, but we were really impressed with Yusuf and felt comfortable dealing with him from day one.

We are so glad that we gave him the project because he and his crew did a phenomenal job with our tall deck. 

We went with a composite deck board from TimberTech - Dark Roast colour, with white aluminium railing and black ballisturs.  We also had him install a Trex waterproofing system so that we can enjoy our patio under the deck.

Before and during the project, Yusuf would guide us and provide suggestions, and even accommodated some changes we wanted to make.

He maintained his professionalism throughout the entire process, with prompt communication, on time delivery, clean up and leaving the site tidy at the end of each day.

We would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone and will definitely refer him to our family, friends and colleagues needing his services.  This company takes great pride in their work and it shows.

Yusuf, Yashar and the team went above and beyond with their excellent service. Yusuf was very communicative in every steps of the renovation from start to finish. Yusuf and his team were excellent from start to finish. Yusuf was always extremely responsive when I texted him for the initial quote and site visit and during the entire process. He and his team were very polite, efficient, and diligent hard workers and were here rain or shine. They did not cut any corners and made sure everything was perfect. I am thrilled with my new porch.
