Decks-For-Life did an amazing job on rebuilding our back deck. Before they were awarded the contract, Iaroslav (aka Eric) paid us three visits, providing us with helpful suggestions and advice on how to make the deck look better with lower maintenance, using composite decking and aluminum privacy screens and LED lighting. Their prices were competitive with other quotes and we feel we certainly got our value for money. They started on schedule and worked efficiently to get the project done. There were no cut corners and the workmanship, attention to detail and appearance were above our expectations.
We feel we made the right decision in going with Decks-For-Life. They specialize in decks and would readily recommend them for any decking project.

Iaroslav completed the project, including demolition of the old deck and the construction of a new pressure treated wood deck in a timely and efficient manner. Eric and Dima did a wonderful job building the new deck. They worked relentlessly and in the rain until it was completed and had it done in a shorter time than expected.

The deck turned out just the way I wanted. In fact Iroslav made a few suggestions that significantly enhanced the aesthetics of the deck but gave him some grief due to the increased difficulty (angles, angles, angles). Yet he still came in on budget, which is a minor miracle these days when dealing with contractors.

I cant recommend him enough, a pleasure to deal with.

In the photos I posted there are a few small areas of discolouration, but thats because I told Iroslav that I would be painting the risers black anyways and not to bother with sanding out those spots.

Included with the price was also a side stairwell for a side entrance that I was also very happy with, but the deck was the main attraction.

Our deck was old and falling apart. Now we have a beautiful new deck that we can enjoy. It took about a week to tear down and build. The gentleman I spoke with was informative and respectful. The cost was fair. Thank you for your hard work.
