Had rotting support pillars on my front porch that required fixing. Brian came by and provided a very reasonable quote. Upon fixing, Brian discovered the existing support beams were not only rotting but also not structurally sound. He quickly provided a new quote.

Job was completed quickly, true to the estimate, and quality/craftsmanship appears great. He also recommend a painter for the job which made this so much easier.

My experience with Brian was friendly and sincere - would consider for future jobs and recommend to others.

Couldn’t be happier with the amazing job they did with our fence in Oakville. We had to replace our 25 year old fence, but due to a difficult neighbor on one side who wouldn’t let us take down and replace his side, the team at Bryan Smit’s carpentry were able to replace the back and 1 side. Not only that, they were able to replace the gate on the side bordering the difficult neighbor! The final result was incredible!! Professional and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them.

I hired Bryan because he was the only one who could realise my vision of the pavilion I wanted. The other trades I requested estimates from, wanted to assemble a pre-fab gazebo, which I didn’t want. I showed Bryan a picture of the structure. He was able to deconstruct it and then construct it. He, and his team, did an exceptional job and I say that with all honesty because I have a critical eye for detail.

Bryan and team did a fantastic job converting unused storage space into a beautiful studio for my design business. I appreciated their creative problem solving abilities. After a bit of debate we determined creating a stunning coffered ceiling was the route to go.
I like their attention to detail but also their laid back style.
I had them back to install lighting in my structural beam (not an easy feat).

I had purchased a door to the rough dimensions of the opening on my home. I called Bryan and in 2 days he was there with his crew installing the new one.

I asked him to rip out the old door and install the new one in the same day as it was the middle of January and didn't want the house to get to cold. Within 2 hours the new door was installed. Having an 80 year old home I was worried of what's underneath. Not only did he clean out all the old gunk he re trimmed the door to my liking and caulked everything in the same day.

I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for carpentry work and will definatley be calling home again for any of my future renovations.

My mother broke her hip and needed hip replacement surgery. Bryan and his team installed great stairs and safety rails throughout the house so that She could always have something to hold on to while transitioning from her walker. They took care of all the material and had the entire job done in under one day. They took all garbage with them and left the house as clean as it was before they started. Amazing people! Amazing service. This gave my mother the mobility she needed to enjoy life again. He was also almost 25% cheaper than the other 4 quotes I got!
