Prepare house for listing/sale--declutter/organize

Busy people with large homes that they have occupied for decades and now want to list for sale, face a daunting task. How will I get this place prepped for sale and then how will I get everything ready to move? Where will I find the time and energy? The services provided by companies like Neat Spaces are a godsend to such people. We were so pleased to learn that such services existed. As for Neat Spaces, we were very happy with the service and value provided by Edie and her team.

Home Organization

Leah was amazing! She organized a lot of my house. This started with a storage room that was packed to the brim then my spare room, kitchen, bathroom and garage. For each area, she began by taking things out and collecting like items. Then, with her help, I went through each item deciding what was to stay and what was to go. She then did an absolutely fantastic job of organizing each of the areas. She also organized everything that was to go into piles for donation, recycle and garbage (of various kinds). Neat Spaces even arranged to have all of these items that were to go picked up. I had started this huge task on my own several times but didn't make a dent. I felt totally defeated and disheartened by it. Leah, however, turned this painful task into an enjoyable one. I actually had a great time! If I ever need help organizing something again I will absolutely call Neat Spaces. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Downsize and move

I am writing about the excellent experience we had with Neat Spaces! We had to downsize our home and we retained Neat Spaces. Edie and her professional organizing team were exceptional. The staff was very professional, courteous and extremely efficient. They helped us with our downsize and move from beginning to end. They made it a pleasurable experience! Life savers!

I cannot say enough good things about the Neat Spaces crew. Edie and everyone took care of us from prelisting staging of our house in preparation for getting the house sold to organizing the move, packing our house, and unpacking when we moved in - real end-to-end move management.

Along the way, the team helped us with declutterig, organizing, and donating unneeded furniture.

Would happily recommend Neat Spaces to anyone moving in the GTA!

Move Management Services

Edie of Neat Spaces did a phenomenal job with our move to a new executive home in Toronto. Edie was so well organized, she recommended that our family go away for a couple of weeks while she handled everything including packing and unpacking and making sure everything was in its place on our return. Imagine having your kitchen set up and all of your clothes etc. put away! This was our biggest and least stressful move ever. We have complete trust in Edie and her team having known her over a number of years and she delivered flawlessly. We highly recommend Neat Spaces to anyone looking for a smooth transition to a new home.

Home Sale Preparation

Late in 2018, my elderly parents passed away within a few weeks of each other after living in their detached bungalow for 55 years. After the emotional shock and forthcoming arrangements we began the daunting task of preparing the home for sale. My brother and I and our wives were in disbelief with what lay ahead; it was incredible the amount of furniture, clothing, books, kitchenware, tools and personal belongings that had accumulated over those years. We attempted over the better part of 2 months, several hours every week, sorting and organizing and packing and realized we weren’t making much of a dent in the effort required. A friend recommended Edie and her team at Neat Spaces and we are very pleased that she did. Over a period of less than one week Edie’s team organized, sorted, packed and removed all the agreed to contents, leaving the house in a state ready for sale. We found Neat Spaces to be very professional and reliable in every sense. We had no fear trusting the team with family possessions, personal documents or precious sentimental memorabilia. We can highly recommend Neat Spaces and thank them for diminishing our family stress during our difficult emotional time.

Organizing and clearing a seniors home.

I contacted Neat Spaces Professional Organizing Services to assist in the clearing of a 3200 sq ft home that was occupied by a senior couple with dementia. Neat Spaces staff met me at the house to complete a walk through and to provide comment/options on how best to organize and clear the house for sale. The staff was amazing. They looked after bringing people in to organize... to pack up... to remove and distribute items to auction houses, charities, scrap metal, land fill and storage. They were incredibly organized. They were well staffed. The whole crew was sympathetic, patient and willing to help. I would highly recommend Neat Spaces Professional Organizing Services.

Organization, de cluttering, staging

They helped me to organize all the storage areas in my house and garage. De clutter and sort through storage and also move furniture around. Very professional team which made a difficult job easy.

Full home decluttering and tidying

When we moved into our new home about a year ago things got thrown into place. There was always a plan to tackle the clutter, but with work and family responsibilities we could never seem to get around to it. The disorganization was adding an element of chaos to our already busy lives and so we decided to seek professional help! Some areas - like the basement - required a huge amount of work, while other areas needed a little tweaking to optimize functionality. Within a few days, the whole job was done. My stress level has gone down and the ability to enjoy our home has gone way up!

Helping prepare an older townhouse for sale.

My elderly mother had decided that she needed to sell her townhouse after living there for 3 decades. We really needed significant help to physically prepare her home and organize the contents. This was a really big job that was way beyond the capability of my extended family (who lived both in Ontario and BC).

Neat Spaces did a great job of coordinating cleaning services, recommending a great handyman for larger house repairs, sorting materials for donation, junk removal, packing and the final move of any valued contents. They also went the extra mile and dealt with special requests made by extended family members.

Without Neat Spaces, we would have misplaced or junked valuable family memorabilia/furniture. I think that the actual time saved in getting the house well-organized is really worth the investment. Ultimately, these preparations also greatly helped with the quick finale sale of the townhouse too.

Kudos to Edie and the team.
