High recommended. McDonald Forestry Tree Care Services were friendly, fast and courteous in getting the job done. They pruned a number of dead branches off an old tree in our yard and promptly cleaned up. Overall, the service was very professional - they came when they said they would, straightforwardly explained the city tree by-laws and went over our options, had an estimate to us within hours, did the job we expected them to do within days of our request and kept the mess to a minimum. We had called 3 companies for an estimate and McDonald Forestry Tree Care Services were by far the fastest and most accommodating to our tight timelines and did the work at a fair price. We would call them again without hesitation.

I found McDonald Forestry here on HomeStars. Having never hired a forestry company before, I was a little uncertain but Steve and the crew were all extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The experience was great from the initial quote to the service (just a few days later) and the clean-up (they even did a quick clean-up of the debris that spilled into my neighbours' yards). I wouldn't hesitate to hire McDonald Forestry again or recommend them to anyone I know.

I found McDonald Forestry on Homestars and they did IMPECCABLE work removing 2 large and tired spruce trees from the side of our driveway. One required a permit to remove which we acquired on our own through the city. Every communication with Steve and his team has been timely and pleasant and they are pros from start to finish. I will be keeping MCDonald Forestry in my contacts for future and highly recommend them.

The service provided by McDonald Forestry Tree Care went beyond expectation. After providing an initial estimate, Steve took time out of his day to return to my house to ensure I knew exactly what work needed to be done based on his quote. Steve explained the quote, how the work was to be done and completed the work exactly as promised. The pruning was beyond my expectations. My tree looks healthier and will thrive for years to come. I will be sure to use McDonald Forestry for all my tree care needs and would highly recommend this company.

We contacted the company to remove an ash tree that was almost dead in the back yard. Steve came by, gave us an estimate and even though we didn't contact him again for a month (or more), he stuck by his estimate. The tree was gone in two days and the clean up was perfect. We would use McDonald Forestry Tree Care again.

Steve and crew have done a couple of jobs on our property. One was the tricky removal of a tree near our overhead power service and another was pruning a tree that got damaged in a winter storm. Both times they did great work at good value. Highly recommend.

This past summer I had to have my large Red Oak tree trimmed as there were a lot of dead branches breaking off in the wind and landing in the neighbours yard. The guys from McDonald Forestry Tree Care Services did a great job taking care of the old tree. Good pricing and good service. Trimmed and cleaned up in no time.
