It was an absolute pleasure meeting and speaking with Katiely. I really appreciate her transparency. The information she provided to me was extremely relevant and helpful to guide me to make the pertinent decision as required. She is easy to talk to and was simple the best of all the other agents. I will not hesitate to recommend her and use her again.

Window replacement

Windows were installed in May and shortly after we had one window that wasnt opening well, and another that had the connector arm disconnect. We were also lacking a basement insert that never made it onto the order, despite our request. Within a few weeks warranty service came to see our windows and initiated a replacement. Sales never contacted us regarding our missing basement window and we have only been getting messages that indicate we have not been forgotten.

The windows we have are great but the very slow response time is frustrating. At least if sales had called to sort something out...but no.

Hi Steve, thanks for writing in and providing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that there was service required on your new windows and appreciate you letting us know and giving us the opportunity to make it right for you. If it hasn't already been confirmed to you, the additional basement window is on the way as well. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we trust that you will be very pleased with the finished product once the mentioned concerns are addressed.

Installed windows and window frames

Worse company I have ever dealt with- very unprofessional! The staff who installed our windows was terrible and the entire project had to be re-done! We ordered and PAID FOR our services in FULL over 18 months ago- HUGE MISTAKE- and are STILL waiting for 1 window screen and a window frame. Installers have come and gone over 8 times and every single time the products aren't correct as they have been mis-measured. No one returns our calls, no one responds to messages. Beware of NORDIK windows- they take your money and then DISAPPEAR!!!!

Hi Tan, we are again incredibly sorry for your frustrating experience and acknowledge that it has taken an exceedingly long time to make things right for you. We have not disappeared and by your own account we have made and kept several follow up appointments and remade and redone any of the product or installation work deemed to be unsatisfactory. We remain at your service and will be here to complete or correction any outstanding work and any future warranty claims should they be necessary in the future.

New window nightmare

We have been in a nightmare the last 5 months. We will give a company every chance to make things right before leaving a critical review. We had our new windows installed in March. Noticed issues before the original installers left. Those issues were brought to their attention at the time & they just shrugged saying there was nothing they could do. We called the company immediately and within a week a manager was sent to look at the job and agreed the quality of install was sub-par. We were thinking great things will move along. 2 weeks go by we don't hear anything. We call repeatedly. We are prevented from speaking to a person who can actually do something by gatekeepers on the phones.

In the meantime as the weather warms we realize 3 of the windows slide open the opposite way to what we ordered. I thought they were installed upside-down.

They finally send a crew to work on the windows and he is given an incomplete picture of the true scope of work. He also believed the windows were ordered wrong and not necessarily upside-down. I think he couldn't imagine a professional installing windows upside-down. So he put in a ticket about that.

He leaves having only worked on two of the 8 windows installed. And they are still not finished. This installer also discovers that there was a shockingly little amount of foam used. He fixed that.

If the foam was insufficient for one window its probably insufficient for all. We continue to call and each time stopped by gatekeepers claiming they will follow up. We finally get a call back from a manager unfortunately we weren't home, she left a message. We call back the next day & didn't receive a call back for another week or 2 & only after we called back to demand to speak to someone.

Also in the meantime we had a heavy rain & the 3 wrong windows leaked! We call back again & this time see some progress. I guess the idea of water damage scared them! This was the end of June. And even though water was coming into our home they still couldn't get anyone on site until July 4th. At this time I also sent them an email of the full list of issues to the 3 names I have because it was clear the notes on the account are incomplete, outdated and in some cases just wrong.

On July 4th we call to find out what time they were expected. First it was between 8am-10am, then 12pm-2pm. Of course once again it's someone else's fault. We are also concerned that no one is understanding the scope of work here. This is a complete reinstall of all windows. At 4:00 pm they finally arrive. They had no idea of the scope of work & their information was incomplete. Now this new installer I had confidence in. He identified that the 3 windows are in fact upside down! We go through our full list of issues- lack of foam, sloppy caulking, missing caulking, incomplete capping on the exterior, unprofessional standard of trim work, popped siding on the exterior of the house, damaged handle and more. He vowed to make it right. He was going to come back July 12th. He was sick (I understand no fault of his) so now we are on our 4th crew. This latest crew again had no real information except some disjointed notes on a file even though I tried to update with an email. To date they have now fixed the upside-down windows. The caulking on most windows. But there is still work to be done including a damaged handle, a damaged screen, and some sloppy trim issues and windows that are noisy or difficult to open. The new date is September 18th. We'll see.

We went with this company because of good reviews and an excellent warranty. Honestly the warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on because I doubt this company will be around in 25 years to honour it.

There have been no offers of compensation for our frustration & anxiety or for wasting days of our lives waiting for them to arrive or for having water coming into our home. It should not take 6 months, 2 managers, 5 install crews to install 8 windows AND ITS STILL NOT RIGHT!

I want my house to feel like home again.

I was sold on the quality of products as sold by Bobby. He was very professional and explained things properly. It was a pleasure dealing with Bobby and now waiting to get my windows and doors installed and hopefully I will be just as satisfied.

Nordik Windows and Doors: a yellow cherry on a poopy sundae

Service: Door Installation
Critical: Unreliable, unresponsive, unprofessional, unethical

Short Version:
If you need a contractor for windows or doors in Mississauga, Barrie, Hamilton or the Greater Toronto Area DO NOT use Nordik Windows and Doors. Whether its commercial or residential they will disappoint you thoroughly. I repeat DO NOT hire Nordik Windows and Doors for your renovation at home or business. If you make the same mistake or are stuck with them, HOLD payment until you are satisfied with the work.

Long version:
Our experience with Nordik Windows and Doors has been long and abysmal. We ordered a door in Nov 2021, understanding due to the ongoing pandemic and consequent logistic issues that it would not be installed until May 2022. We received further notice that it would be delayed until Sep 2022. (This is not the bad part).

Once we get an install date Jun 29 2022 (only after being upsold to a better door to get a sooner date) the better door arrives defective. The installers and Nordik all acknowledge the door is defective. They installed the defective door with the intent of getting it fixed or replaced within what I expected to be a couple weeks. It wasnt.

Its now been 2 months as of this post and they still have not made any definitive plans to correct the issue, despite numerous attempts at getting a resolution with actionable items and a timeline. Instead of taking ownership and solving the issue they consistently place blame outside of themselves while kicking the can further down the road. Frankly, I had a better experience during my vasectomy (shout out to Dr. Debolster! Yes thats his real name). The cherry on top of this poopy sundae is now yellow jackets have taken nest in the cracks of the poorly and temporarily installed door.

This seems to be standard operating procedure for Nordik Windows and Doors. Dont believe me? Check their Facebook page for countless others, like myself, who have been trying to get issues resolved some for over a year. Please read the reviews before you even consider using this door and window installation company as it will be eye-opening. And please take these 5 star Google reviews with a grain of salt, the most recent few are employees of Nordik Windows and Doors a company lawyer, a social media manager, and a director of operations. So on top of being bad at doors and windows theyre also unethical and trying to manipulate the reviews. Shame on you Nordik Windows and Doors.

If youre in Mississauga, Hamilton, Barrie or anywhere in the Greater Toronto Area, and you need windows or doors, commercial or residential, do yourself a favour and avoid Nordik Windows and Doors like your life depends on it.

At this point reviews like this are my only recourse to get this company to provide definitive and actionable plans towards a resolution. Until then, please help me stick it to corporate greed and tag this review as helpful and/or share!

New window in new bathroom

Existing window was large & overlapped into the bathroom. It had to be filled in & replaced with a 16 window. The rest of the old window was covered up with drywall over insulation, with a siding on the outside.
