Central Air Conditioning

Look no further! No pressure sales tactics whatsoever! We had a 20-25+ year A/C unit that wasn't cooling our home as expected and we noticed condensation on the line leading from the A/C unit to the furnace. We had called other HVAC companies that either didn't respond or responded with possible reasons causing the issue, but never responded to our request to setup an appointment to come and have a look at the unit. We understand the industry is overwhelmed with demand as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and supply issues in parallel, but to not respond at all, even to say they were overwhelemed with calls and couldn't come to look at our issue as a result, would have been a nice and quite frankly appreciated business courtesy that would have at least kept their business on the radar for future needs if required. We continued to seek out reputable HVAC companies and came across Wamboldt, which had great customer reviews. We now see why. Wamboldt responded to our call and was onsite at our house within 48hrs. They told us the many possibilities that could be causing the problem, the least of which could be low freon. We were undecided whether to simply top-up the freon and see if that helped versus committing to buy a new unit, potentially unnecessarily. Owen offered a solution. He offered to top-up the unit and gave us a few days (which happened to be during a heatwave) to see if that made the difference. At which time we could decide to keep our current unit running or buy new. If we decided to buy new, there would be no charge for the freon top-up and site visit and if we didn't decide to buy new, he would bill us accordingly. Owen re-iterated that it was our choice completely, with no pressure. Wamboldt stayed true to this committment. We did notice a positive change to our A/C with just the freon top-up. With the time given to test the results and make a decision, we were able to do further research, and given the age of our unit, we decided to buy new. A quote for a new unit was received and an installation date confirmed for just under two weeks of the quote receipt....not bad timelines considering the supply backlog. The new unit was installed on time as scheduled. Fully recommend this company to anyone with HVAC needs! Thanks Owen and Matt for making this a stress-free experience. You've got our business, thanks to your business ethics!!

Pool Heater issue solved

Our pool heater was not working. Matt was thorough in his assessment and identified the part that needed to be replaced. He provided a clear explanation of the issue and recommended h ow best to maintain things moving forward. We spent afterwards talking about why he got into the business and his overall approach to customer services. I fully endorse Wamboldt Heating And Air Conditioning.

Wamboldt Delivers the Goods

Owen and Matthew run a friendly and knowledgeable business. During the last heat wave, my wife and I realized that our air conditioner was on the fritz. It turns out the freon had leaked out. The freon that had leaked was the old R22 stuff which you can't purchase in Canada any longer (banned).

Owen and Matthew highlighted the options for us with no pressure. My wife and I were so impressed that we decided to use Wamboldt to replace our air conditioner.

They arrived on time and were courteous to our needs. They wore PPE protection (COVID19), and were extra careful of their and our safety.

They worked quickly and well together. You can tell they know what they are doing.

They cleaned up without a speck to be found.

All in all, we were most impressed with them. So much so, that we're going to preemptively use them to replace our furnace (over 30 years old now) in the fall.

Thanks Owen and Matthew.

Superior Service

I would definitely recommend Wamboldt Heating and Air Conditioning to my friends, family and neighbour’s. Owen was able to squeeze us in to his already tight schedule during the recent heat wave.

He was very thorough and took time to explain everything to me and was even patient enough to answer all of my questions and I had a lot!

He was in full protective gear, masks gloves etc so we were comfortable letting him into our home during the current pandemic.

He was polite and friendly. Service with a smile.

Don’t call anyone else!!!

Great service

Great professional service. Owen and Matt were punctual, knowledgeable and friendly. They installed our new AC promptly when our old one died in the middle of a heatwave. They educated us about how to take care of it, and their price was very competitive.

Furnace repair and Peace of Mind

Last summer, Owen came out to do some repairs to our pool heater, so when our compressor on our heat pump went and our regular repairman was unavailable, I knew who to call. Matt quickly came out to assess the situation and give us a quote. The work was completed within the week, and we had a quieter, better functioning furnace. Both Matt and Owen are conscientious individuals and observed all the necessary safe guards during the pandemic (booties, masks, and gloves, as well as distancing). They left a clean work area....you wouldn’t even know they were there! Matt even followed up a couple of weeks later to see if the system was working well. We would highly recommend Matt and Owen to anyone needing heating or air conditioning assistance. They are now our furnace guys!

Great Service at a reasonable price!

Our air conditioning stopped working at the start of a heat wave. We had heard of Wamboldt and their excellent work from a family member. They did not disappoint. Excellent service and reasonable prices. We were back up and running in less than 24 hours.

Installation of Fan Cycling Control on my air conditioner

I've moved into a new condo that gets the morning sun. I need to run the AC for a few hours in the morning even when the temperatures outside may not be that warm. Owen knew the solution and sent Matt to install a Fan Cycle Control yesterday. Matt did a great job. Was professional, always wore covers on his boots, explained everything that he did when he was finished and physically distanced the whole time. The site was clean when he left - great guy and certainly knew his stuff. Will be using Wamboldt Heating & Air Conditioning for all of my maintenance and upgrades from now on.
