Michael and his team provided a very detailed quote and timeline for the job to be done to his high expectations. They did not disappoint. Michael was professional, courteous and kept me informed as the project progressed from the start to finish. We have used Michael before for much larger reno jobs. This job was much smaller in comparison , but his and his crews attention to detail and this includes timelines is unsurpassed by any contractor we have ever hired.
Not only does he do what he says he’s going to do , when he says he’s going to do it, his finishing work is perfect. We have renovated many many homes and rooms over the years, no contract can hold a candle to Michael . Oh, and did I mention he’s very reasonable and … integrity is his middle name. We would give him a 15 out of 10 if we could.

Michael is very careful and considerate. He finished work much faster than the estimated time and was very good about cleaning up debris every day. Very happy with the finished product.

Doing renovations right can be a series of headaches at the best of times. Doing it right during a pandemic is worse. But Michael and his team made it easy. At every stage, from planning to permits to execution they were cordial, transparent and thorough. The small addition to the back of the house involved a lot of red tape and patience, but we were taken through the process with care. Workers were courteous, and Michael was on top of every detail along the way, ensuring it was up to his standards. The end product met or exceeded expectations in every way.

Michael and his team completed an interlocking installation project in our backyard and driveway and the end result was beautiful. He helped us plan the perfect backyard oasis around the pool we had recently installed. He brought ideas, suggestions and his experience which really made the difference in the project execution.

My porch was in desperate need of repair, I did my due diligence, researched local companies, received several quotes, met with a few contractors and decided to use Thompson Construction; not because they were the least expensive, they were actually on the middle end, but I immediately felt at ease with Michael. We had a good rapport. He was professional, listened to my concerns and understood exactly what it was I wanted. The porch exceeded my expectations. Michael and his team did a fantastic job on the restoration of my porch. I am so happy that I decided to use Thompson Contracting for the job. The whole experience was positive from decisions on the material, to discussions about a few changes to the original plans. My neighbour even commented on the work ethic and professionalism of Michael and his team and how nice the porch looks. The job finished on time and in the current conditions, was not an easy task.

We hired Michael to replace and build an awning around our front door, and Michael and his team were an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish! From the first meeting, Michael showed his wealth of knowledge by suggesting some great ideas off the bat. He then followed up with a quote that outlined what the work entailed, and had a conversation with us about options. Michael then provided a contract with dates, and shortly after started the work. Beyond the fact that Michael is the nicest guy and a pleasure to work with, he is also incredibly talented—so much so that our neighbour who is a contractor commented on how great Michael’s work was! He was a great communicator, hard worker, and made sure we were happy with the results. He was also very fair, and made sure we didn’t have to spend more money than we needed to.
