Wow. Professional company - arrive on time to quote business. Anthony was cordial and helped explain where Exotherm could help. He was always on time and very patient. The job involved spraying a basement ceiling as well as a cathedral ceiling as well as areas that had plumbing installed on exterior walls - my plumber recommended using spray foam vs trying to use rockwool, etc.

When the team arrived onsite they were also on time and efficient. When the job was completed you immediately noticed how much warmer rooms are, which sounds obvious but it was true. The job was thorough and the team did a good job cleaning up. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Anthony and his team were a huge part of my unfinished basement renovations. From the Framing to insulation, electrical and dry wall every step was overseen with diligence. Very professional. He worked in conjunction with a contractor, who he referred to do the finishes. I would highly recommend this company.

Overall, I was very impressed with Exotherm's range of work and expertise throughout the course of this rather extensive project. I'm glad I went with them and highly recommend them, especially for jobs needing a range of services. After my old finished basement needed to be "gutted" by another company for waterproofing, I looked to them to rebuild things for both insulation and drywalling (among a few other touch-ups along the way) and they did an excellent job, coming in on budget and on time. With my home being 100+ years old, I appreciated the extra care and attention that was needed to rebuild and refinish the basement, including concrete work for a new step over a recently replaced water main and to reinforce the structural integrity of a window. I also used this occasion to have Exotherm insulate my attic while the work in the basement was underway and was equally impressed with thoroughness of their work and am already enjoying the greater warmth in the rooms on our 2nd floor. I also greatly appreciated Anthony dropping by on several occasions to check on how the work was doing and to answer my questions along the way, and the very personable members of his crew who came in to prep and clean things up, while also keeping me posted in terms of the work in progress. Now looking forward to making greater use of my dry and (almost) refinished basement!

Not the most fun work, but totally necessary. Anthony from Exotherm responded to my posting (among other companies) and I was extremely impressed from the beginning. He arranged a site visit (a few other companies quoted from pictures), he took the time to understand the work required (hallway ceiling was over a staircase) & the environment (newly stained stairs & we were living in the house during the work). He gave me a detailed quote for the work.

The prep team took amazing care to cover everything to protect from dust which allowed my family to carry on with working-from-home during the project. The drywall tapers did true quality work & left the ceiling & walls with the smoothest finish! Even my painter commented on the quality of taping/mudding done.

I was initially surprised to have a Spray Foam company contact me for drywall work - but this company can take you from insulation to finished walls or any step in between. I will definitely use

Based on previous top and the most recent reviews, I reached out to about 4 Spray Foam insulation companies and I received the best quote from Anthony/Exotherm Spray Foam Systems Inc. The quote included the work for two projects.

1. Removing Garage Drywall Ceiling, Removing the existing batt insulation from there, 5 inches (R31) of 2-lb Spray foam over the Garage Ceiling and Re-do the Ceiling Drywall, Cleaning up all the debris.

2. Removing existing R32 Blown-in Cellulose insulation, apply 2 inches (R12) of 2-lb Closed Cell Spray Foam insulation all over the Attic floor and fill the rest with Blown-in Cellulose insulation up to the recommended R60 standard code, along with adding additional Rafter vents, Fiberglass batt insulation soffit damming, Electrostatic Mold Control application, Extruded Polystyrene Rigid insulation panel (R15@3inches), Weather stripping to attic hatch, Cleaning up all the Debris.

The Quality of work and the professionalism from Anthony and the Exotherm team was just fantastic. The whole project went perfectly fine. They provided me with lot of pictures before, during and after completing each job and clarified all the doubts I had through the project. Anthony dropped by once when the Spray foam work was going on to check if everything was going fine. The team took a great care with prep work and ensured everything was covered and were extremely careful throughout the whole project.

Once they tore down the Garage Ceiling Drywall, we found that the original builder had left a Supply and a return duct open and it had been left functional and stayed between the Garage Ceiling Drywall and below the Subfloor of our bedroom (above the Garage), which is against the building code.

I felt the difference with the quality of insulation, run time of AC and Furnace and temperature within the house before and after this project. The bedroom above the Garage used to get pretty cold and the temperature difference during late September would be at least 4-5 degrees below the temperature in our Family room but right now, it remains pretty close to the temperature at our family room. The Closed Cell Spray foam also added rigidity to our bedroom floor, which is pretty awesome. Can't wait to see how things are during the peak winter time.

Anthony was quite understanding about the situation and he actually helped with providing contact details of another company (Dave's Ducts) who helped us with inspecting the ducts and confirmed that they are indeed Supply and Return ducts and needs to be capped. Anthony was flexible with moving the date for completing the Ceiling Drywall in the meantime I got that "Duct Problem fixed".

Anthony and Exotherm team are just fantastic and hands down one of the best professional Companies to work with. I had the pleasure to know them and I am really glad I chose to have this project completed by Anthony's team.

I would definitely recommend Exotherm to anyone who wants to get the insulation done. I would definitely reach out to Anthony in order to have our entire Basement insulation redone if needed.

Exotherm laid out our options and we were more than happy to go with the full option. You get what you pay for. The house is toastier, I dropped the furnace temp, and all floors are way more equal in comfort. Exotherm was professional in every way and cleaned up amazingly. Reco these guys to anyone! I can never be bothered leaving reviews about contractors but these guys earned and deserve such an amazing review. Anthony and his team did such an outstanding job applying spray foam in my garage, I could not be happier. Anthony is very knowledgeable with the product and assessment on what to spray foam. Anthony came to my house a couple of times to give me estimates and also explaining what I should spray. With his quotes, he also provided information about the product, WSIB documents, insurance documents. I sprayed the garage ceiling (daughters bedroom above), rim joists, a common living wall, I-beams, and a block wall in the ceiling. The end result is perfect. Immediately I was able to feel a difference in my daughters bedroom up above the garage.
They arrived on time. Before starting, the worker explained the process to me. He covered the floors and everything in my garage. The spray was very uniform. Once finished and before cleaning up he called me into the garage to make sure I was happy with everything (which I was). Very friendly and professional.

Anthony at Exotherm was the fastest to respond and give a quote for updating our attic insulation. He demonstrated both expert knowledge and experience as shown in his assessment, explanations, and answers to our questions. We had the old (40 years) fibreglass insulation (batts and loose) completely removed, baffle vents installed (there were only a few wooden ones before), soffit damming, spray foam the attic floor to R12, spray foam the rim joists and the attic side of the skylight shaft to R24. Mold control was applied before and after spray foaming. This was followed up with blown in cellulose, and attic hatch insulation/ weather stripping. Sufficient cellulose was installed to allow for eventual settling and still achieve final R60 thermal resistance. Anthony and his crews (including Adam and Courtney) were highly skilled, professional, always focused, efficient, courteous and cheerful. They practiced safety precautions and always cleaned up at the end of each day. We noticed the area under the skylight is now significantly cooler on very hot sunny days. They performed an amazing, high quality job at every stage and exceeded our expectations. Exotherm is highly recommended!
