We used Metropolitan movers for 2 moves with my son’s family. His move from one home in Toronto to another went smoothly and his 2 movers were quick and careful. Our move, from Orangeville to Toronto was very stressful. Furniture was not wrapped so there was damage. Walls and a door were damaged when our 3 movers forced furniture without it being manoeuvred properly. Our move also took 12 hours. Despite noting the damage on the invoice, a few phone calls and numerous emails, we have received no compensation for the damage after waiting 6 weeks. We were told in one email that the matter was forwarded to the franchise owner and we would hear back in 10-14 days. Metropolitan Movers need to hold its franchise owners to account if it wants to uphold its rating.

During the relocation process, there are many factors that play into how long a move takes for example, how well the client is packed and prepared, how many items need to be disassembled and assembled, distance etc. Please know that things do take time and we do allow a few weeks after a claim is received to investigate it and come to an amicable resolution which was done so in your case.
