We looked in vain for a roofer to help provide a solution to the water leaks of our 2 second storey decks (only 2 years old) and after speaking with 4 other recommended roofers, Home Star roofing was the only company to give us the confidence to hire for the job. They went as far as replacing wood that had rotted and perfected the slope to maximize drainage. They also took the time to source a supplier to replace our custom flashing. They did a great job. Serge, his dad and crew are respectful, hard working and honest - a pleasure to deal with. They are busy, so getting them quickly was impossible, but I suppose that's what comes with being good at what you do.

My neighbour and I decided it was time for a new roof and looked into three different companies and found that Home Star Roofing had the best quoted price using the same types of materials and could do it within a very reasonable timeline. My neighbour and I were both impressed with the time taken to survey the roofs and eaves before determining exactly what needed to be done, their advice on adding an additional downspout, and the efficiency in which all the work was completed to our great satisfaction. I would definitely recommend this company. They are a great family company whose service is terrific!

Smart and accurate guys. Can do your roof early if you have emergency. Reasonable negotiable prices. Do different types of roof, can do flat roofs for example. Good reliable company.

I found this company on the homestars website. I was looking to replace my garage roof shingles as they were at the end of their life cycle and I am planning on installing solar panels this summer. Serge came to inspect my garage immediately and quoted me a price on the spot. The price was very competetive. I agreed to the price right away. Even though I gave him the green light he still took the time to explain what was going to be done on my garage and showed me the higher quality products (roof underlayment and shingles) they used versus other companies - who were incidentally charging more. The completed the job within a week and it looks great. I won't hesitate to use them again.

We got back from our vacation to find some of the shingles had blown away due to the high wind/rain. We reviewed and called many of the top rated companies posted on this site, but only Home Star Roofing got back to us (this was a Sunday). Even though this was a smaller job, they came to see and fix the problem the very next day! Sergio took pictures of the problem, and clearly told us what he will do and what the cost will be. The whole experience was very pleasant and I would highly recommend to anyone who wants prompt, quick and professional service at a great price!

The Home Star Roofing team was hard working and did a great job replacing the shingles on our house. After the job was done they did a thorough sweep and left the yard and deck very clean. I would highly recommend them to anyone one of my family or friends.

What a great team! From Serge giving me a quote to his Dad and the team, they were excellent! They trapped my walls as I have stucco so not to damage it, to finishing in a timely fashion and making sure that everything was cleaned up when they left. Over the Christmas holidays, we had water leaking into our home at the rear of the house. We called Home Star Roofing and they were able to come take a look that same day. They did a quick temporary repair because the full work could not be completed until the spring and told us that they would come back immediately if any further water damage occurred.

Throughout all of our communications with Serg and Andrew they remained professional and courteous and once Andrew came back to complete the full repair he did an excellent job explaining the nature of the issue and providing further explanation to our many questions.

While they completed the work they went above and beyond completing a few extra cosmetic fixes at no additional cost and did a full cleanup of the front and back of our house. The team was easy-going, worked extremely hard throughout the day and even came on a holiday to ensure our house didn't receive further water damage due to forecasted rainfall.

We will highly recommend Serg and Andrew to any of our friends and family and will certainly use them in the future.
