Holden came out to inspect a wall in our bathroom to help us determine if it was load-bearing or could be safely demolished. He was easy to communicate with and came on time to our scheduled appointment. He conducted a thorough investigation of the room in question and our attic, as well as an assessment of other walls in the house should we ever decide to do remove other walls in the future.

We had a rather large main floor renovation requiring a load bearing wall to be replaced with a 26 foot beam. I spent months searching for the right contractor to take on the work. I had many people quote the job, but none seemed to offer the right solution at a fair price. I then happened to stumble across Larcon doing and internet search, so I reached out. I just happened to be speaking with a neighbour of mine the next day and coincidentally had Larcon do the same thing for them a couple month earlier. Holden was at our house the next day and was even able to give me a verbal ballpark price that others could not. He then followed up with a formal quote the very next day and it was inline with his initial estimate. I couldn't believe it as other contractors took minimum 2 weeks to get me a price, if at all. Larcon's pricing was VERY competitive and included the required permits and engineering drawings. All other parties I contacted said I would have to handle that on my own and at my expense. It was a no brainer for us to hire Larcon and I couldn't be happier. Even during Covid when everyone else was too busy to take on the work, we were booked for install within a month of first contact. Everything in the whole process was efficient and painless. We had a 26 foot steel beam and footing installed in a day and a half of work. The team was incredibly efficient and left the place cleaner then it was when they went in. If you are looking for a beam in your house, Larcon is a no brainer and I have already told anyone I meet that this is the place to go. Holden and his great team do and excell job and stand behind their work. He even offered to take us to recent or current projects which shows their confidence in their work.

Holden and the team were awesome to work with from start to finish. During the quote phase of our project they were the most clear on the scope of work and understood exactly what we were looking for. Before even receiving prices, we planned to work with LARCON for their knowledge and clear plan of attack for the job. It helped that not only were we most comfortable with them, but their price came in exactly where we had hoped.

Scheduling was a breeze due to their quick and professional communication. On the day of the job, the workers were efficient in their work, and patient with my questions. They left the site cleaner than they started, and their work was exactly to the quality I had hoped.

I would recommend LARCON engineering to anyone looking for structural remodelling and although we hope we won't need too, we would gladly use them again in the future.

Large and challenging residential project. Major structural changes (5 beams including a 24" beam about 10 feet long with a 30' x 10" beam welded to it and raised into the ceiling so posts could be removed). LARCON had it engineered, permitted, executed, and inspected (passed) flawlessly and safely and a day early. It was fascinating to watch and I learned tons (sorry for all the questions boys).

I hired Larcon to reframe and increase the stair opening from my main level to my basement after having my basement underpinned. They were great to work with and they were able to get it all completed in 6 hours. They even went the extra mile to close a gap that started to form between some existing double joists and added bolts to ensure they would not pull apart. I would recommend Larcon in a heartbeat.
