Edgar from Edko responded quickly to our request for a consultation and quote. His quote was competitive, he seemed very knowledgeable and we appreciated his honesty when he suggested that we shouldn’t waterproof the entire wall as it may not be necessary. He booked us a date for the work and his crew showed up on time and did a fabulous job. They waterproofed outside and installed a sump pump inside. They were efficient and, inside, covered our basement furniture with tarps to avoid getting it dusty, which was considerate. Edgar also helped us apply for the city rebate on sump pumps. Edko came to me recommended from a friend, and I will not hesitate to recommend Edko to others.

One area of my basement had been leaking on and off for years but only if there was a heavy downpour. Edko's crew found the leaking area (outside), sealed and repaired it, giving a 25 year warranty. So far the basement has remained dry but the test will be seen in the future/after several downpours at which time I will post another review.
Edko's estimate/final price was considerably lower than other companies I contacted.

One year later and the basement is still dry. I am very pleased with the results!

Update: Two years later and my basement remains dry! I highly recommend Edko.

Edgar came and assessed my situation and recommended external waterproofing. I had seepage during heaving rains and it was worse after the winter thaw.

I chose Edgar because he walked me through the process and from my research, his company used the best practices being implemented at this this time. His crew was polite and kept the work site clean. The workmanship was great and looked very clean against my wall.

The real test was after the job was complete and we had 22mm of heavy rain, my basement was not affected. I'm very satisfied and would recommend him to anyone experiencing water leakage issues.

Edhar and his team did a great job on underpinning! They coordinated the permits and started right away. I was basically hands off! His guys worked through all weather conditions and never missed a day. They finished exactly on time and checked with me throughout the process to make sure I was getting exactly as i wanted! I got 2 more feet of ceiling space in my basement from the underpinning and was happy throughout the whole process.

As about my experience, Edgar showed up despite heavy rain to measure the area and was quick to send a quote. His quote was quite competitive with what I had received from others. I also read excellent reviews they had on HomeStars before giving him the job.

After receiving the locates from hydro company, his guys showed up promptly. They dug the area, sealed the basement exterior, filled, relevelled and cleaned the whole area nicely in 2 days. Everything was done quick and professionally.

Edgar later came to provide me 25 years guarantee certificate on leak proofing. On my request, he even went out of the way to take away and dispose these two large rotting drywalls standing next to my sidewall from a previous construction project. I am so thankful to him for that.

Called EdKo Enterprises after dealing with an ongoing slow leak in the basement. The best solution in our case was to trench weepers in the basement to control the flow of the water directly to the sump pump pit.

After dealing with alot of stress Edgar and his team were with us every step of the way. Coming out to see us to diagnose the problem to providing a written well detailed quote so we knew exactly what we were getting. They showed up on time as promised, we paid the price as agreed to, and all around the family run company seemed to care for the customer addressing all our concerns.

One more thing, considering the jackhammering and messy work in the house we found them to be very courteous and clean.
