Tom Mac Rae Painting

In searching for a painter following a renovation, we reached out to a number of companies via HomeStars and selected painters to contact based on their reviews on this page. We were impressed with Tom's high number of very positive reviews, his prompt communication and followup, in addition to his fair price for the work that was needed.

We hired Tom and his team to paint our walls, trim and door of our whole main floor (living room, dining room, den, hallway), and our upstairs hallway, which included a 2 story wall. We had contacted Tom right before installing new floors and we were able to time everything to have him start the following week, the timing was perfect for us! Tom's team got this big job done in 3 days and we are very happy with the results. In addition to painting our walls, trim and doors Tom also patched areas on the walls in addition to patching up some deficiencies in our ceiling such as cracks and holes where the previous home owner had installed hooks. Considering we did not paint our ceiling, we appreciated this extra service. When we came home on the last day of the job, the crew had installed all the plate covers that we had removed as part of the prep, another little touch from Tom's team that was valued. After doing our final walk through of the work, we noticed a couple of areas that we wanted additional touching up, and Tom did not hesitate to come back the next day to ensure that we were 100% satisfied with the job.

Tom and his crew were great. They were always ontime and kept all tje colour choices and their locations straight. The locations that needed that bit extra or special attention always got it. The difference was amazing and all completed under a deadline that was only 1 week.
Tom himself always checked in to make sure we were happy with the progress and quality, if we were concerned about anything Tom either immediately addressed it himself or ensure the crew did so.

This all topped of by tje crrw being reslly nice guys and Tom being so personable.

Tom repainted our garage doors, shutters and front door. He was easy to deal with, met his timelines, was well priced, helpful, punctual and efficient. I will be using him again!

We had recently replaced our garage door and needed to paint it to match the siding. We decided to work with Tom because he was very well reviewed and gave us a competitive quote.

Our garage door was replaced in the winter, and Tom was very responsive about getting us an estimate promptly and coming to do the painting as soon as possible, which meant keeping an eye out for good weather for exterior painting. We're very happy with the end product.

I went with Tom MacRae Painting after reading various reviews on HomeStars. My home was in need of various touch-ups, trim and door painting, and some cracks needed to be patched and painted. There was also caulking some baseboards around the whole home. Tom quoted me a fair price and the work was started promptly.

The initial quote had to be renegotiated due to the work being more than originally estimated. To be fair to Tom, I can understand how giving me a quote based on various fixes and touch-ups could be difficult (it wasn't as simple as paint X amount of walls and ceilings).

The work was completed and Toms crew were polite and respectuful around the home. A few days later I noticed an area that needed a little more work than it was originally given. Tom was very kind to come out himself on the weekend and redo the area at no additional cost.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the work and would recommend Tom MacRae Painting to friends and family.
