Isaac was exceptional! He and his two crew members arrived 5 minutes ahead of schedule, and everything from start to finish was so much more than I expected. I was worried about my furniture being scratched or damaged, but unbelieveably, everything arrived in perfect condition. Isaac was so wonderful in every respect-I would highly recommend his team for any future moves!

First of all, the reason I went with My City Movers was because of the excellent work and service we received on our previous move. Cannot say the same on this move. Loading the truck was not an issue. The unloading became an issue at the new residence. One of the workers did not like the fact that they had to move the items into a townhouse that had three floors. This individual was mad and threw a few boxes around and a cushion belonging to a white tub chair. The cushion fell to the ground and got dirty. One of the workers went immediately to pick it up and clean it. The driver called for help to assist them in unloading the truck. This one individual seemed to pick and yell at the junior person on the team. If he was new, then they should have explained and showed him how to do the work. This individual also told my wife that we had a lot of junk. He should have kept his comments to himself. My wife did not want to be around and had to come and get me from the other house, as I was cleaning it up. She was afraid that something might get damaged.

This move costs me $300 to $400 more than the last move. The previous move took only 5 hours in total to load and unload. I understand that the truck had to travel at least a half hour to get to the new residence. Since the last move took 5 hours, I would have thought that this move would have been done in 6 and a half hours which was not the case.

Workers are very efficient and earlier than a scheduled time. Minor damages on furtniture occurred but it is understandable.

I was really pleased with My City Movers. They showed up 15 minutes early. All three men worked really hard at getting us moved. They wrapped and blanketed most of the furniture. All of our stuff arrived at the new place in good condition. The guys were patient with me when I had them rearrange the living room a couple of times. I would definitely recommend them!

My City Movers were great! From my initial phone contact with the owner, who was prompt in calling me, to the guys who came to do the moving, I was very impressed. The movers took great care with my things. They wrapped everything securely and noting was chipped or damaged in the move. It was poring rain on moving day and they were super about protecting my furniture. The movers were friendly and helpful and worked quickly to get the move done.
I have another smaller move to be done in a few weeks and I will definitely call My City Movers to do it. Great job!

My City Movers did an awesome job moving our things to our new home. They were on time, very efficient and careful in handling our valuables. I hired My City Movers for my move from 900 sf condo to a similar size apartment in Langley ~20 km away. I submitted my requirements (full service: pack/load/move and unload, moving date, locations, sq. footage, etc.) by email and online form to five moving companies and received Vadim’s email response in less than 24 hours. To this day three of the companies still have not responded to my inquiry.

Vadim was patient with the numerous questions I had and provided clear answers either by telephone or via email. In particular I wanted to know how my few pieces of artwork and antique furniture would be protected during the move and he assured me that each piece would be blanket-wrapped, and that the bed would be dismantled and set-up at the new place.

The packing crew arrived on time (shortly after 9); Joe (driver), Isaac and Max did a superb job of packing my belongings and completed that part of the job in an impressive 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Joe returned the next morning along with Isaac, plus Brian and Glen. The four of them made quick work of filling the elevator, off-loading it in the lobby and returning the elevator to service so other residents in the building would be inconvenienced as little as possible. My possessions were loaded onto the truck and were on their way around noon time.

The rain held off in Langley, the truck was unloaded and my household goods and furniture were put in the appropriate rooms – because the boxes had been correctly labelled by the packers. I had agreed to have the boxes unpacked and am I ever glad of that decision! By the time the furniture was put in place, the bed set-up and the boxes unloaded (about 3 pm) my ‘new’ place was in pretty good shape; no mess of packing paper and empty boxes to deal with. Wonderful.

An empty 6” plant pot was a casualty of the move (no need to replace that thrift shop bargain), and the ‘foot’ of a cabinet was slightly marred but the Furniture Medic will be stopping by to remedy that and will bill MCM directly.

My experience with MCM was excellent; very good customer service. Both crews were terrific. I have Joe, Isaac, Max, Brian and Glen to thank for making a stressful situation, fun! They were courteous, respectful of my belongings, funny, efficient and experienced in the art of the well-organized move. Joe was diligent about tracking the arrival and start time for each crew member, as well as noting the amount of supplies that were used. At the end of the day he reviewed the detailed invoice with me, answered any questions I had and thanks to modern technology I paid the invoice on the spot by credit card. I have already recommended MCM to a friend who will be moving very soon and I would hire MCM if I had to do it all over again.
