A highly qualified service at a most reasonable cost that exceeded my expectations and code. The following work was completed:
• Razor plugs replaced with GFCI panels
• An additional GFIC plug near sink (1/2 bath)
• Hardwire smoke & CO2 detector
• Installation of two battery smoke & CO2 detectors
• Plug installed with metal cable for garage door opener
• Investigation of gas pipe bonding & jumper
• Clean, conscientious tradesman

I expect to have lighting fixtures replaced in my 40 year old condo later this year and Kyle will be my first choice as the honest electrician. I have no hesitation whatsoever in this recommendation ....

After a property inspection, I needed an electrician to fix some deficiencies quickly. Kyle quoted me two options fairly: the minimum to fix deficiencies and a full panel replacement recommended but not required from the inspection. When asked, he provided honest feedback of when/why to choose both options and helped me choose the right option for me, not just the expensive one. Working next to substandard issues left behind from others, Kyle explained why or why not to tidy up the work that was not mentioned in the report. In the end, replacing the cosmetically damaged panel and tidying up the light fixtures made the most sense for selling my home. The Honest Electrician and his integrity fixed my problems, completed excellent work, on a time crunch, at a fair price, all while I was posted out of town. Kyle provided services twice in a week for me on short notice as I prepped an older house for sale ahead of impending listing. He is proactive with providing advice and solutions while he works. The second visit was for a problem which was independent from the first and newly apparent. I liked him and his quick, competent service on the first visit so was happy to call him again. He did not disappoint. $160 of the charge was for equipment purchased to get the job complete. I would definitely call him again.

Needed some help with a video doorbell installation in an old house and contacted The Honest Electrician thanks to the positive reviews on Homestars. Kyle was very transparent on the phone about costs and even alternatives that may not have required hiring an electrician. Due to the age of our existing electrical system and wiring we decided to go ahead with Kyle and we're so glad we did. He was a real pleasure to deal with and nice to have in the house. Kyle is knowledgeable, effective, and systematic in his ability to solve electrical related problems. He fixed my pot lights that were defective (which was why he was called), but went above and beyond to fix a longstanding problem with our plugs, door bell, and a couple light switches.
