This is our second time that we have utilized the services of Haystack Home Inspections. Our first time was about a year ago when were were looking to put an offer on a duplex in Burnaby. This time we called up Haystack to do an inspection for our house that we had already moved into 7 months prior. We wanted a home inspection because we knew that the previous owner/flipper had cut some corners in the renovations and we wanted to know if there were issues we needed to address in our continued ownership of the place. Chris at Haystack did a fantastic job of being thorough and being informative with his inspection. Both times he produce a wonderfully detailed report (70 pages) with important photos of the property and in depth explanations. His ability to pick up a wide variety of issues showed that he was very knowledgeable in his field and speaks to great experience in his work. I would highly recommend Chris and Haystack to anyone looking for a home inspector whether you're looking to buy or just to cover your bases after you've bought.

Chris is awesome. We found him on HomeStars (thank you to previous reviewers!) and from the first phone call to the inspection to the in-depth report he emailed us, Chris provided us with a high level of service. He was punctual, patient, professional and a clear communicator.

I looked up Chris here and based on his excellent rating, contacted him about inspecting a house I was considering. This was when the real estate market was super hot, with bidding wars. His thorough and detailed assessment of the first property we wanted helped us avoid problems. Since we didn't go with that house, he kindly offered us a discount on the next property which we purchased. The inspection report he provided was very detailed with photographs and in clear language. It has proven to be a very useful reference for ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the home.
Best of all, Chris offers to be available to his clients should they need to consult him down the road. He calls to check with them and assures that he will keep their file open. Highly recommended!!

We emailed Chris and he responded to us in under an hour. Great first impression. On the day of our home inspection Chris arrived ahead of time, as he had let us know. He gave us so much information and fully answered any of our questions. We felt like he was a genuine person and not just going through the motions. Our inspection report was emailed to us by 9am the following morning and had great photos and very detailed information. He let us know that we can email him questions that come up. We will definitely use Chris in the future and will highly recommend him to everyone!

I called Hay stack for my home inspection and it was a best decision that I had made. Inspector showed up on time as sheduled and did a thorough inspection esp on the areas that I was concerned . Inspector took his own time and did a great job sharing all his views/findings finally. I got a detailed inspection report nextday with colour pictures and results are unbiased. This is a very professional company .

I cannot say enough positive things about Chris from Haystack Home Inspections! We had him inspect a condominium we were thinking of purchasing and he did a very thorough and professional job.

I submitted an online form to request an appointment and Chris got back to me very shortly. On the day of the appointment, the roads were unusually wet and snowy, but Chris was punctual. During the inspection he took the time to explain a lot of things that we knew very little about and he even spent extra time just to point out things that he thought we might miss. The report was completed by the next day and it was very comprehensive. We found the whole process helpful and informative.

I would not hesitate to use Haystack's services again!
