I can't go on enough about how happy we are with Simon and his team. We are not related, or even connected through friends in any way to have had any knowledge of what we were getting ourselves into. There are so many horror stories out there that are enough to leave any homeowner skeptical of who they hire to do their job right.
I have to say, as soon as we met Simon for the initial consultation I had a great feeling right off the bat. He was timely...to me this says so much about a person and their commitment to keeping customers at the forefront of their minds. It built confidence for the work that was to follow. Simon came to our home on multiple occasions and answered all of our questions, made sure we were all on the same page, and was very professional in his demeanor. Once we decided to go ahead with the stair refinishing I had no hesitation that we had made the right decision. Considering the cost of this project, it was not to be taken lightly and we would have never entrusted our vision to just any stair company ( I was very thorough about doing my research and reaching out to various companies beforehand). Simon went to great lengths to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. He exceeded our expectations by customizing aspects of the design based on our wants and needs and making sure we were 100% happy before starting. We are nothing short of impressed with the professionalism, cleanliness and overall quality of both his company, and the final outcome of our stairs. We absolutely love the job they did. Simon is a genuine guy, no strings attached, and he has built a name for his family business based on reliability, hard work, and customer satisfaction, not to mention the price was extremely competitive to other companies we looked at.
We will not hesitate to have Simon and his team back for our future renovations...and anyone reading this shouldn't either. He does not disappoint.

We’re very happy with the work that Simon and his team did. From the quote process (details of everything to help with any DIY tasks if you’re on a tight budget) to final work completion. Cost is comparable from the 4 others we got...we chose Simon because of his knowledge of flooring, not overselling us and overall seemed like a very nice person to work with as well as other great reviews on Home Stars.
Good on communication which is key....From advising of change in start date (changed by 3days) well in advance so we could adjust our schedules, to when we needed to make decisions by (I.e pickets) to avoid delays etc.and stay on schedule.
Most importantly, they got the job done to our satisfaction in 5 working days!! (4bedrooms & staircase and hallway). They told us 1wk and it was 1Wk and did not nickel and dime us when we made some changes (baseboards).
The cost was the cost which we appreciated.
They cleaned up and covered entry ways to help reduce dust in other rooms. Left us the remaining custom stain should we need it. Explained what’s covered in 1yr workmanship warranty, and what’s not with a cost etc. What we appreciate is the reassurance that we can call for anything regarding our new flooring and we’ll get great service.
Simon also recommended where we could buy the hardwood vs looking around on our own.
We just wish more contractors were like Simon and his team, where we can trust them to do their job properly and not have to inspect everything to chase after them.
Thank you Simon for putting up with my questions & checks. We’ve haven’t had good experiences earlier this year with other contractors and just extra wary with any contractor now.

After completing my parents flooring in their house some 10 years ago, we turned to Simon to help us with replacing our old carpet upstairs with new hardwood. Simon and his team completed our project on time and on budget - exactly as promised in the first introduction. From the beginning Simon worked with us to deliver what we wanted and even moved up the start date when the scheduled allowed. He stayed in touch with us throughout the work. The installation was done in 2 days and our space was left in immaculate condition at the end. We are so happy with how our floors turned out and will definitely use Simon and his team in the future.

Simon and his crew are amazing!!!! They arrived on time, cleaned up at the end of every day and did an awesome job sanding, staining and painting our stairs. When I saw their attention to detail and their high level skills I asked them to also install hardwood flooring. Professional, friendly, thoughtful and skilled. Will definitely be hiring them for my next project.

Simon did a great job in estimating timelines for completion to remove our carpet, install hardwood and install two sets of stairs, and stuck with those dates. His prices were reasonable and fair, and he and his crew were very friendly and professional.

Simon and his team were friendly, hard-working, and showed pride of workmanship. They did a great job replacing the carpet on our stairs with hardwood, and updating the posts and spindles. Simon was very responsive to all communication.

Simon & Team did an amazing job on refinishing my old stairs, including replacement of spindals and adding in more modern posts. The process was very seamless and the team accommodated my schedule (I work from home, have an 18-month old and large dog) to get the stairs done in a timely manner while still allowing me to maneuver as needed while they worked.

Attention to detail was on point! If I could give more than 10 stars, I would.....highly recommended!

Simon and his team are absolutely amazing! They did a phenomenal job removing the carpet from my stairs, staining (new color) and painting.
It's like I had a whole new staircase installed. They are honest, absolutely immaculate, they respect your home. I have never met a contractor that responds so quickly to phone calls and so conscientious about the work they do. So very easy to work with also. Recommend highly!

Simon and his team did a solid job with our new hardwood stairs. Firstly, Simon was the only contractor who did a house visit to see the scope of work, and gave us a cost estimate that was better than anything I got over the phone from other contractors. We also asked if the work could be done before the New Year, which Simon was willing to accommodate. His team even worked around our busy schedule in December to do minor prep work (cutting, measurements, etc) prior to the actual installation. The actual work took about two days total, and consisted of minimal disruptions and dust.

I strongly recommend Simon and his team to anyone looking to have a solid performing team install quality work at a competitive/reasonable price. Lastly, it was an actual pleasure to work with contractor (for once) as Simon and his entire crew was friendly, punctual, and always consulted us prior to proceeding with the work.
