Outstanding service and experience! We have a 14 year old boiler system and had had a couple of other companies check it out in the last 3 years since we bought the house. None of them really seemed to understand the boiler/infloor heating system and correct what to us, were issues in performance and operation. Mark knows his stuff – we called him due to a leak from the expansion tank/safety valve line in the hot water/boiler system, after doing some research on line for speciality companies, as I didn’t want the same old story. He quickly returned my call, and set up an appointment – even offering to come over that evening. Within a few minutes of inspection, he found several issues with the boiler, ductwork and water supply system, and was able to explain to me the issue and the fix options (as well as the implications of the issues for performance and safety). After completing a thorough inspection with Julian, he then provided an estimate with and explanation of what was needed, and we agreed on the scope of work. It was a relief to meet professionals who are knowledgeable in this type of system. Julian, a great journeyman, completed the work with excellent quality, and obvious pride in his craft, which included reprogramming the system to eliminate wasteful water pumping/recycle. They took care of the worksite as well. Drop clothes were used to protect our floors and the house was left clean and neat, including the furnace room where they drained and flushed the boiler and in floor piping systems. Mark and Julian took the time to explain all we needed to know about routine maintenance and operation of the equipment and ensured we where happy with the end result. DHL is the only mechanical company I will use for future boiler maintenance. Great experience, top quality craftsmanship, friendly and personable! I highly recommend them.

Hired another company to diagnose our furnace, but they couldn't figure out the issue, just that it had delayed ignition. Mark and Julian arrived with the right equipment, and found a crack in our heat exchanger in no time at all. Highly recommend.

Mark has made several visits to my new (to me) home recently, to service a boiler and replace parts for our hot water tank and hydronic floor heating system. He is very knowledgeable and up to date on the latest systems and information. He provided options for various repairs, etc. at different price levels. I would likely hire DHL again.

Our home was built in the 70's, on an exposed location North of Calgary, basement & main level, 1500 ft^2 per level, with wrap-around windows. The basement heating's in-pad ducts were leaking and both furnaces and boiler needed replacement. We decided to go for radiant heat, which was easy to install, since new air ducts would require space and expensive re-construction of the basement. The old in-pad ducts were grouted, and the pipes for radiant heat are easy to install in the walls and do not require space. Upstairs we now have a combination of hot-air & radiant heat, all serviced by a single high-efficiency furnace, including hot water. Finally, our Northern master-bedroom is snug & warm. Gas and electricity bills were significantly reduced, as is our environmental footprint. The specific layout of the house required a number of "boutique" solutions, which Mark worked out together with us, responding to our requirements. In the end, we also had a small upgrade done, at very little additional expense. So yes, when you need a specific solution, call Mark.

DHL is a great company. Their staff are very friendly and personable. The staff were willing and able to answer any question I had about the install and the product. They came on time and finished in a timely manner. The area they worked in was left perfectly clean. They replaced our hot water heater, humidifier, furnace and later we had them come back and install AC for us. All units are working great and without flaws.

This is the second time I've used Mark to do work in my house. The humidifiers I had before did not work at all and the humidity in my house never rose above 25%. My wood floors were drying out and there were large gaps between boards. Mark recommended steam humidifiers. As he did when he did the work to complete my in-floor heating system, mark did the work while I was on vacation. I'm very satisfied with the result. My floors are back to normal and the humidity in the house is exactly where we want it to be.

Professional plus! DHL is a class act company all the way! We had three furnaces and two hot water tanks replaced and air conditioning added to our home. Mark and his team removed all the old and faulty equipment from our mechanical room, cleaned and repainted the floor, mounted plywood to the wall and cleaned up the plumbing pipes, made them look nice and plumb! They had to upgrade our venting system as all our pre-existing equipment was old fashioned. They even helped keep us safe by identifying a potentially dangerous issue with our electrical panel! All of the work was very well done, respect for our house was paramount to them, and they worked with our budget. I would not hesitate to recommend DHL for any plumbing or heating job! I had an bit of an emergency with my furnace and DHL was the only company that took the time to come around that same day. Mark ended up replacing my furnace as it was old and worn out. He also took the time to clean up all the excess ducting that the original builder had put in but didn't take the time to route it properly and it took up a lot of room and now my furnace room is big and uncluttered. He was always here when he said he would be and was very courteous and made sure he always cleaned up afterwards. I have since hired him to install a new A/C unit and also tune up my infloor heating boiler. I will not waste my time calling other plumbing and heating company's anymore as DHL seems to have everything that a customer is looking for

I have now Hired DHL on several different occasions. Very professional and Efficient work. Could not be happier with the work completed and materials supplied. I have been recommending Mark and his company to family, friends and clients of mine for years.
