Barry Hopkins Electrician

Barry Hopkins has done 3 electrical jobs for us over the last 3 years. The first was extensive wiring additions both inside and outside the house to accommodate the installation of an air conditioner. The second was for lights on a rebuilt deck. And the third, approximately two months ago, was to remove some old lighting on the third floor and rewire in such a way that several new lighting fixture could be installed. In every case I have been most favourably impressed with his always coming when promised, the efficiency with which he works, his ability to explain what he needs to do and why, his willingness to make suggestions when asked and to listen well to any questions or requests, and the apparent excellent quality of his work, including cleaning up when the job is done. On every occasion he has also been consistently very pleasant to work with. I will definitely call him for any needed future work. And I would definitely recommend him to all my friends.

Barry originally did the wiring for my contractor in my new bathroom so when I needed new light fixtures in several areas of the house I called Barry. He came when he said gave me a price then got the parts and came back and did the job. A few days later I needed some more work doing and he returned with the fixtures and did the addition work. I can highly recommend Barry, he is reliable, reasonably priced and is also very pleasant.

Called Barry, came next day made estimate. He had to go to anothe emergency call, probmised to return in a couple hours iwt needed materials and do job. Barry returned with parts and did perfect work.

I had an problem with my bathroom light about a month ago and located Barry on Homestars. I found Barry to be honest, dependable and professional. He arrived on time. He patiently explained what was needed to fix the problem I had with my bathroom light switch. The cost was reasonable.
My bathroom fan was without a cover, lost when I painted the bathroom. I asked Barry to install a new fan and instead of charging for a new one, he explained that the fan was in good condition and I only needed a new cover. He then went to Canadian Tire and purchase a new cover AND did not charge me for the cover. Totally honest.

Barry was wonderful to work with on a very minor job - new outdoor light fixtures were not working, and two indoor light fixtures had broken sockets. Completely satisfied with his work and the price!

Barry and Bill came and installed some fans/light fixtures in our condo and their work ethic and service was excellent. They are both extremely pleasant to deal with and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to do electrical work. I would rate them at a 10++.

Barry carried out a complete distribution panel replacement in my home. He did an outstanding job. No longer a wall of horrors, my new panel is a work of art! It was an extremely difficult job since he encountered many surprises along the way. But everything was dealt with in a very professional way. Barry put in long hours (even on the weekend) before the day the replacement took place to minimize the time without power and heat for me and my kids. Very thoughtful. I found Barry to be extremely conscientious, hard-working with great attention to detail, and all around a really lovely guy. He was always punctual and left my basement spotless after the work was finished. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to call on him for future electrical work. It was an absolute delight to have him in our home.

Barry is a highly skilled electrician and a true professional . As a renovation contractor having used many electricians in the past , including ones listed here on home stars . I can tell you from firsthand experience that Barry is head and shoulders above the competition . Barry is prompt , reliable , and courteous his work is meticulous ...jobsites are kept clean and commitments are always honored .While walking out the door on the last job Barry noticed something wrong with the switch at the door and stopped and fixed it... Barry understands customer service and without hesitation I will be calling Barry for all of my upcoming work.
